Everything I Didn't Say – Chapter One
"Regret."
"What?"
"Let's be friends."
Natawa ako, trying to insult her. Ako? Kaibigan niya? Ayoko ng kaibigan.
"You're annoying." I said bluntly.
I have a bad feeling about her. Ayokong mapalapit sa kanya. I don't want to get attached with someone. Especially with her. She's dangerous.
"I know," Umupo siya sa harapan ko.
Napansin ko na naman 'yung nunal niya. It suits her.
Why am I even appreciating her? She just got the looks but her personality? Nah. She's very annoying.
"Pwede paturo sa Math?" She asked again, but in a very sweet tone.
She even pouted at me! What is she doing?!
"W-What is it?" I asked coldly.
Although she's not really smart but she's not dumb as well.
I tried to stay cold as I was teaching her.
Somehow, her smile refreshed my soul.
"Did you get it?"
She nodded. "Yes! Thank you, Regret!"
Even though she's pushing me to be her friend, kanina, napansin kong nirorolyohan niya ako ng mata. I don't know if she's just like that but I have to admit that she's a sassy person.
"Tss..."
Kaia continued answering our worksheets.
"Why are you still here?" Tanong ko.
"I don't want to eat," Maiki niyang sagot.
"You're killing yourself."
"Concerned ka?" Tanong niya tapos ngumiti. "Sige, kakain na ako."
Tumayo siya at lumabas ng library. Ganoon kabilis siyang umalis. Akala niya siguro concerned ako.
I smiled unconsciously. Hindi ko napigilang mapangiti sa inakto niya. No one really offered me a friendship. Kaia's the only person who is really persistent about this friendship.
She has a lot of friends. Tho I don't know if they are being real because Kaia's quite popular with guys. Nonetheless, I don't see any reason why she's sticking with a guy like me.
