always because we don't have a word
shaking our heads
thinking we heard
but the paperwork is coming down in lines
stating things and their fines.
just because we didn't smile
doesn't mean that we don't have a thing
just praying that our world we will become
something new
something new.
we have everything in the world
but nothing nears everything
just enough to be sure that we are
happy where we are.
sure enough in the world
people are never quite sure what they heard
just become what you would
never what we should.
smile through the rules and walls
be sure to stand tall
and if the book closes
right before you reach it
be sure you tell the world
everything you know.
