[Prolonged Hiatus] San Francisco's Finest: Wrench x Female Reader Fanfiction

Chapter One: The secret back room

      You wake up to the sound of your phone alarm clock and let out a loud groan as you silence it. You have never been much of a morning person but the fact you barely even slept last night amplified it; you needed to get up now though so you did "at least work won't be boring, I get to hang around nerds all day" you silently sigh as you get up out of bed and look around "so many boxes still, I'll try to unpack more after work" you go get dressed and drive to work

You arrive at Gary's Games & Glory and clock in for your shift. About an hour after you began work you see someone walk out of the back area but the man's appearance was what interested you he was wearing a studded vest, dark grey hoodie with a logo you couldn't quite read, ripped jeans, and converse, but it was all topped off with a peculiar mask. The mask had a display over the eyes that may have been made from LED lights and the bottom was spiked. You saw him turn in your direction with as the default (X X) turn to (? ?) but he continued to walk out as he turned his head back forward. 'frick was I staring' you mentally scolded yourself.

     The rest of the day was pretty normal you continued to occasionally see a person walking to or from the back area but it was usually the same few people 'whats even back there' you wonder to yourself as you look over at the back area.

    You eventually get off shift and go to your apartment, get out of your work clothes and throw on a red t-shirt, jeans, and comfortable shoes and then you go to GG&G again this time to check out the back area. Once you are there you notice a door with graffiti all around it, a keypad next to it, and something you assumed was a camera above it "well fuck a secret room, why would this be here" you questioned just as the door suddenly opened you jumped back as you heard an angry robotic voice say "who the fuck are you!" "Imsorryimsorryimsorryimsorry" you close your eyes tight and put your head down as you apologize rapidly, hoping you don't get hurt or killed "Woah calm down it's fine, but really who are you because I know your name isn't sorry" He says taken off guard by your sudden spew of apologies "I- I'm [y/n].... [y/n] [y/l/n]" you stuttered as you lifted your head and opened your eyes, realizing who exactly you where talking to, it was the mask guy "again I am really sorry I- I just got really curious because I had seen a few people walk to and from back here all day I didn't mean⇀" you got cut off as he leaned in closer "ya know curiosity killed the cat, you don't know what could have been back here, for all you knew this back room could have been the death of you" the masked stranger said dangerously as his visor changed to (X X). You back against the wall behind you as you give a scared audible gulp just then he stepped back laughing and the display changed again (^ ^) "I'm kidding, you're fine, god the look on your face as I said that, priceless!" he laughed and his visor changed back to it's default (X X) "you're new here aren't you" he questioned "yeah I  just started working at this place this morning" you say with a hint of nervousness. The masked man's display changed again (^ ^) "yeah it's alright though it doesn't seem like it, this happens a lot with newcomers to the store whether we notice it or not. Well then I'll be on my way, places to be people to see, I'll talk later" he says and walks away "Bye then-" you say as you leave the back area then sit down in a chair in the main shop 'that interaction was just... Fucking weird'
