[Prolonged Hiatus] San Francisco's Finest: Wrench x Female Reader Fanfiction

Chapter Nine:

"Oh yeah I forgot to tell you, I sent in an application to work at blume before I moved in, I kind of knew you might want me paying half of the rent since I live here" she said kicking off her shoes.

"What!?" (! !) Wrench completely sat up seeming more awake as your face went to one of shock as you looked over at her

"Why do you guys look so shocked?" Karla was confused

As Wrench stood up he looked from you to her before he spoke up "Look Karla, Blume isn't the best company" (/ \)

"What do you mean?" She asked even more confused as she sits down in a small arm chair

Wrench looked at you again as if to ask if it was okay to tell her what really happened the other night (? ?) (X X).

You finally spoke up "W-What happened the other night, i-it wasn't what we said happened..." you touched the fading bruise on your face while looking down at your knees.

"What does that have to do with this, whats going on?" Karla was almost yelling her voice sounding more worried

"That night-" your voice cut itself off like the words were getting stuck in your throat, you looked up to Wrench for help

"That night (y/n) was kidnapped by them in an attempt for them to find where dedsec was hiding, if I hadn't gotten there who knows what would have happened" (/ \) you could tell this wasn't easy for him to say either

"You're joking. That couldn't have happened, you mean to tell me that people from Blume went after her to find out where a group of people were hiding, I'm sorry how am I supposed to believe this!?" Karla paused and looked at you "(y/n) this is a prank isn't it? Come on I've figured it out no need to keep this going."

You shook your head no as Wrench pulled out his phone and swiped through some stuff before handing it to her.

"What the hell is this" She snapped

"Watch the video..." Wrench said sitting back down. You felt his hand on your back as your gaze continued to fixate on your knees.

The recorded sound of them violently questioning you played over the speakers of the phone, you flinched as you heard the impact of a punch then silence as she must have paused the video.

"Why didn't you tell me before now." Karla's voice was calm but sad as she gave Wrench back the phone.

"I already didn't want to get someone else dragged into this but (y/n) was the first to say we shouldn't tell you." Wrench's robotic voice had a hint of remorse in it

"What!? (y/n) why did you not want me to know" Karla now sounded a bit angry

You looked up at her "If I told you I knew you might end up getting mad first at me for not being careful and then at them and probably end up doing something you'd regret"

"Oh I'm fucking pissed, but not at you," She glared at Wrench (! !) "But you, you didn't want anyone else pulled into this, okay I get it. But seriously fuck you if you think I'm gonna sit back and watch while my best friend, someone I think of as a sister, is in danger because some asshole started hanging out with her!" She sighed and her voice calmed again, "I get it there was no way you could have known but you and your group have a lot of enemies who want to see you crushed in one way or another, if it wasn't one it was always going to be another. When you started a friendship with her she got targeted."

"Karla stop it isn't his fault it's not like he wanted this to happen it just did, no one in this room right now is to blame for that." You attemted to defuse the situation

"Fine," she sighs "So what now, they know everything on how to get you (y/n) what's the plan?"

"Actually the plan has already been put into motion" Wrench states in a proud robotic tone(^ ^) "Me and the rest of DedSec are training (y/n) to be one of us." Wrench put his arm around you and pulled you in as you felt a very slight heat coming to your cheeks.

Karla snickers and mouths 'adorable'

You mouth back 'fuck off'

Her head perks up with a questioning look in her eye

(? ?) "Whats up?" Wrench lets you go

"I just had an idea" She says proudly, "So you guys never know what blume is going to do next so if I get the job there then I could be your informant, of course I can't be going and giving the information on my own but (y/n) is already a part of Dedsec, I tell her the info she relays it to you guys. That also means I probably shouldn't know way to much about your group, in case they find out and try to question me" she inquired

"That's an awesome idea!" You said just about jumping off the couch

"Now we can plan for when Blume strikes again." (^ ^) Wrench sounded genuinely happy as he got up "And with that I shall be off! Have a good night girls and (y/n) I hope to see you tomorrow." He walked out the door and waved goodbye just before closing it.

*I am so sorry about this taking so long to come out, as you know there is a lot going on right now in the world and all that plus writers block, again so sorry, I should have a lot of extra time on my hands if all goes well but I honestly don't know when I'll have the next chapter done.
