Chapter 10:

After all of that, you went to bed waking up early the next morning sore as hell. You let out a soft groan as you stood up quickly causing you to become dizzy and your vision goes weird for a second after that second everything goes back to normal.

"Aaa stood up too fast."

The time on your alarm clock read 9:47 am when you go to leave your room not really caring about what you were wearing because screw it, you live with another female so it really isn't a problem walking around the apartment in a T-shirt and underwear. You rub your eyes as you walk out of your room.

"Hey (y/n)" you freeze as you hear the voice as you notice it is not Karla's voice but one more robotic.

Feeling heat rushing to your cheeks you look over at the living room and see Wrench sitting on the couch his visor showing (O o) as he quickly turned his head away although you would never be able to tell if he actually looked away or not. Embarrassed you turn around and practically sprint back to your room to put on some pants while hearing a small conversation go on outside of the room.

"Here," the voice you recognized to be Karla's said "What happened to (y/n), I thought you said something to her a second ago."

"She... uh... forgot something in her room..."

"Okay then"

Thats when you walked out for the second time but in better clothing to be around your guest.

"Good morning Wrench, um... What are you doing here" You smiled trying to pretend that nothing happened

"I just came by to check on how things were going after last night (^ ^), I didn't know you'd still be asleep though (^ ~)" He answered.

Even though he didn't say it you knew the last part was about what just happened. Wrench was sitting on the middle seat of the couch while Karla sat to his left both had a mug filled with coffee, Karla's made with a lot of creamer and sugar like normal and Wrench's just plain black, there was a third cup sitting on the table looking to be made just how you like it.

"Not much really happened after you left, me and (y/n) just kinda talked a bit and went to bed" Karla stated as you took the seat to the right corner seat on the couch "By the way (y/n) that coffee is yours" she pointed at the coffee

"Thanks Karla" you said picking up the coffee cup

A notification pings on Karla's phone, she quickly grabs it to see what it is. As soon as she sees she looks shocked.

"Oh my god!" She just about yells with a ecstatic tone "I gotta go!"

"What's going on?" Wrench asks lifting his mask just enough to drink a sip of coffee

She rushed to her room to get ready and after a couple of minutes rushes out looking a bit dressed up but still casual with how she's dressed.

"Places to go people to see, by the way (y/n) don't be worried if I'm not back tonight" She said putting on shoes before she walked out the door

"Huh I guess her boyfriend came to visit." You laugh

"Oh wow a boyfriend huh?"

"Yeah they met a little after she graduated from High school, they ended up really hitting it off."

"Ah I see, do you have one?" (? ?)

"What?"

"A boyfriend."

"No, no boyfriend or any other significant other for that matter, what about you, do you have a girlfriend?"

"Not anymore (X X). Anyway, I can't see how you don't have anyone, you looked kinda cute earlier when you walked out not knowing I was here" (^ ~)

You turned beet red hearing what he said and lightly pushed him "Shut up."

"Hey! C'mon I just told the truth." (' ')

You took a long sip of your coffee still red as a ripe cherry tomato.

"Aww someone's embarrassed," he laughs (^ ~)

You quickly think of a way to change the subject, "So when I asked you you answered with 'not anymore' what happened?"

"(X X) Oh, yeah, I guess some people just aren't meant to be ya know"

"That sounds like it must have sucked." Your tone turned from slightly annoyed to comforting in a split second

"Yeah it did, but I've moved on by now." (^ ^)

"Thats good then."

"Hey (y/n) do you wanna just go hang out today?" (? ?) You could have been imagining it but it almost sounded like his robotic voice had a tinge of nervousness in it.

"Yeah sure!" You answered with a smile the redness on your cheeks almost completely gone and you got up to get ready to go.

You two yelled along with songs on the radio while Wrench drove, it was about 11 am by then as the truck passed over the Golden Gate Bridge, looking out the window you could see other parts of the city far off in the distance across all the water.During the commercial break you guys got a little conversation in.

"Yeah at one point we were able to break Aiden Pearce out of what was practically a jail cell" Wrench stated with pride, you had asked earlier to hear about some of the stuff him and dedsec did

"Wait, are you talking about that vigilante guy from Chicago?"

"So wait you've heard of him but not us?"

"Yeah, I was visiting Chicago on a trip back when it all happened, I kept hearing about this guy on the news while I was there. I actually saw him beat the fuck out of a guy that stole some womans purse." You sort of laughed remembering it

"Huh, cool! Hey are you hungry cause I know a good place where we can pick up some good food."

"Yeah sure!"

Dear god it has been a long time since I updated this, I am so sorry for the wait, my motivation to right has been lower than ever for the past few months. I'm sorry if this chapter does not seem as good as the last ones, my creativity has just seemed to come to a slight halt when it comes to this stuff.
