[Prolonged Hiatus] San Francisco's Finest: Wrench x Female Reader Fanfiction

Chapter Eight:

Luckily that day was one you had off work, but still you arrived at GG&G bright and early around the same time you'd get to work. The night before Wrench told you the code to the door so you could get in when you arrived that morning, you punched it in looked up at the camera for a moment and the door opened. Once you walked down the stairs you heard an insuing argument.

"Oh hell no Wrench, you are not signing your name again on the hackerspace wall" Marcus lectured Wrench who was holding up a sharpie to a wall

"Everyone signs their name on these walls dude its fine." Wrench shrugs (^ ~)

"22 times Wrench! 22! No one else has needed sign that many times! I swear if I find one more I'm going to hide all the sharpies!" Marcus yells

"Well I mean theres 27 but who's really counting" wrench laughs (^ ^)

"I swear to god man-" Marcus began speaking but you interupted him

"What is going on?" You ask confused

Wrench decided to completely change the subject "Hey (y/n) you're early"

"Yeah I guess" You said as marcus walked off to go talk to Josh "So when do I start, training that is?"

"Hm, I guess we could go start since you're already here" (^ ^)

You two spent the day doing training on parcore and self defense, by the end you felt like you could just fall over and sleep right on the hard concrete.

"Good work, your getting the hang of this (y/n)" Wrench said pating your back as you both sat down (^ ^)

"What does this have to do with hacking?" You ask through breaths

"You have to know how to defend yourself too, you do not know how many times this has saved my ass" He sighs in an answer (^ ~)

A while ago Wrench had taken off his vest so it would be easier to spar a bit, this was a good thing because without thinking first you lean your head on his shoulder as you pass out.

As you begin to wake up again you feel strong arms holding you and setting you onto a chair before a light slam of a metal door jolts you the rest of the way awake. You looked around for a moment in panic before you realized you were in Wrench's truck and hear the other door open.

"So thats what it took to wake you up" Wrench said in a fake disappointed robotic tone before chuckling a little and getting in the vehicle shutting the door ( ' ') (^ ^)

"I'm sorry I guess I fell asleep on you didn't I" You apologized as you buckled yourself in

"Its fine" his visor contiued to stay (^ ^) as he drove off

It was only beginning to get dark and the ride was quiet other than some low volume music in the background. You couldn't forget what happened the other morning, you wanted to ask him if he was doing okay but part of you knew that he would brush off the question. You still wanted to though.

"Are you doing okay?" You ask as wrench stops at a red light

"What do you mean?" He says looking back at you for a second before looking back at the road (? ?) (X X)

"Yesterday you were having a bit of a break down I just want to know if you're doing alright" You glance at him and then look at the cars passing in front of you two.

"Oh, um yeah... I'm doing alright" he laughs as the light turns green and he begins driving again while turning up the music.

The mood goes back to light after a while as a song you both love comes on and you both go back to screaming along to the song.

You guys get back to your apartment laughing about something random that was brought up. When you both aproach the door Karla is walking out.

"Oh hey." She says spotting you both

"Hey" Wrench says with a small wave as you just smile and wave at her

"So where have you been all day" she looks at the both of you

"Kinda hanging out I guess" you lied

"Alright then, I'm heading out then, I got an interview to be at! Wish me luck!" She says walking past and turning the corner.

"So you wanna come in" you say as you walk in the open door to your apartment "I got movies, beer, and snacks, a little thanks for training me today"

(; ;) "A girl after my own heart" Wrench joked "Yeah I'm in" (^ ^) (X X)

You walk in as he follows and closes the door. The couch is looking like less of a mess now that Karla can have a room.

"Hey you can pick a movie while I make us something to eat" you say walking into the kitchen

Wrench looks through an assortment of movies on Netflix before deciding on one. You pick up the two plates of food with a pack of a common brand beer handing a plate to Wrench as you sit down.

"So what are we watching" you ask

"I have chosen... drumroll please!" He begins tapping his thighs "Friday the 13th!" (^ ^)

"Ooh a horror movie." You say as he presses play

"Are you gonna be scared" (^ ~) Wrench teases as the opening credits start

"Of course not" you retort proudly before laughing a bit "but shh its starting"

You jump and almost scream when adult Jason first appears on screen before the first character death.

"And who said that she wasn't gonna be scared" Wrench laughs

"Oh shut up." You glared at him for a short moment

He put his arm around you and scooted a little closer "Does that make you less scared" (? ?) (^ ^)

You didn't expect him to do this and tensed up a bit from shock but still it was comfortable "I-I guess" the tenseness goes away as you both continue watching.

At some point in the middle of the movie you fall asleep. When you are soon awakened by.

"(y/n) I'm home, oh am I interupting something?" Karla said shutting the door behind her

"Oh hey Karla. No we were just watching a movie and I fell asleep" you tried to lift your head but a very spikey surface blocked you "Ow"

Wrench seemed to be just waking up too "Huh? What? What happened? Damn did we sleep through the rest of the movie" he said looking around (-- --)

"Aw you guys had a movie night without me, how rude" Karla joked

"Sorry, anyway how was the interview?" You ask not really getting up or trying to move out of Wrench's arms

"I think I did well, dude was kind of an asshole though if I'm being honest" Karla said walking through the living room

"So where did you get the interview at?" You ask sitting up a little bit

"Oh yeah I forgot to tell you, I sent in an application to work at blume before I moved in, I kind of knew you might want me paying half of the rent since I live here" she said kicking off her shoes.

*heh heh heh, cliffhanger the bane of any readers existance! I'm sorry I'm a jerk I know. Sorry if chapters end up getting a bit of a spam at some points I'm trying to write while I still have time before I get busy again but yeah. Next chapter should be out soon if things go as planned.
