[A/N #1: I know I am late so won't hold you at my stupid notes for long. I have left another note in the end of this chapter. Happy reading!]

She skipped college the next day. And the day after; and after. Simi and Kriya tried to coax her into talking to them, but she did not say a word about anything. What could she possibly tell them? That Swayam said he did not love her, and she believed him

When they offered to come over, she simply denied.

On the third day, Sharon could not stand it any longer. The past two nights were sleepless and the days, well, the days were worse. She had been alone all day in her room crying; toying with the food she was given but ultimately eating nothing. Her body was weak and her brain was jammed. If he has the patience to deal with my panic attacks and the sea of issues that I come with, why can I not handle his anger? She was guilty. He had begged. Sharon got up from her bed and decided to do what she had been avoiding since the day she left. Go back to him. She did not bother putting on better clothes, or makeup. Or doing her hair. Her eyes were bloodshot and face paler than ever before. She did not even bother to wipe her tears before slipping into her sandals and walking out.

Within minutes after she had left home, it started to rain. At first it was only drizzles but soon it turned into heavy downpour and she was without her car. Or umbrella. But Sharon was determined. There's no going back.

It took her almost half an hour to reach his place and by the time she did, she was a drenched and shivering mess. She took a moment at the front door before ringing the doorbell when she heard the door click and open.

Huma stood there smiling, waving goodbye at Swayam before bumping into Sharon while walking out.

"Oh! Didn't see you there" she flashed a smile at Sharon and left.

It was almost 10 in the night. Why is she here? Sharon thought, but did not ask. She just stared at him, waiting for him to ask her to come inside. Instead she heard him ask Huma if she needed a drive home.

"What is she doing here?" Sharon almost failed to recognize her own voice. She missed being bossy but right now, her mind was on other things.

Swayam did not look at her. He crossed his arms and stood waiting for her to go on.

"I can't believe you" she spoke like she knew what she was doing. She knew it wasn't true. She knew Swayam wouldn't. Swayam couldn't, but she went on anyway thinking this is the only way to get him to talk to her. "It has been only 3 days and you're already having other girls come over at your house. I should have known you were only in this for -" she paused as he looked up to face her.  Rage.  And in that very moment she knew she had taken it too far.

"I'm only in this for what Sharon?" he spoke. "Complete your sentence?" Swayam tried hard to mask the hurt in his voice with anger but who was he fooling here? He was angry, certainly but mostly he was heartbroken. Is this how she thought him to be? After every day he spent loving her, admiring her almost worshiping her. How could she say such a thing.

By this time, Sharon's body had started aching from all the walking in the rain and she felt a fever build up within her very rapidly. Her leg muscles went weak so she groped the door frame for support.

Sharon watched him turn back and walk in.

"Swayam please listen" her mouth was dry and she could barely keep herself up but she followed him inside.

The tears had started to fall again but Swayam remained irreflective, like he couldn't hear. She walked closer to him and wound her arms around him from the back. "I'm sorry I didn't mean any of that I was just trying to get a reaction out of you."

So this is how she wants it to be.

Swayam gave her a moment before he pulled, almost tore her hands away from him and turned back, shoved her up against the adjacent wall with so much force that her toes barely touched the ground. He was on her, pushing her up with his body. His hands were on her upper arm on either sides, holding her firmly, so firm that her arms reddened. Her skin burned but she couldn't tell if it was because of his raging force, the fever or  the fact that Huma was here this late at night or the fact that he did not want to talk to her.

"Its h-hurting" she almost squeaked.

"Really?" Swayam spoke in a gravelly voice, as firm as is grip. He was angry, and she could tell. He was angry and hurt and I did this to him.

"I don't think you should be here really" he continued in the same firm, low voice only audible to her.  Sharon squeezed her eyes shut and felt her eye lids weigh down. She was blacking out, fever gripping her head and the rest of her body but Swayam pushed her up against the wall again, jerking her in position and she looked at him.

"S-sorry" she whispered.

"Now that you know that I'm only in this for sex" he spoke without listening to anything she was saying.

Sharon struggled to look at him but she did anyway. She mouthed a silent no, to which he only nodded mockingly. She was confident that it wasn't true. It couldn't be. He only said it because he was angry. Her head almost fell onto his shoulder but he pushed her back.

"And you know what, Sharon? She's so much better than you" he continued, moving closer to her ear.  His tone turned more spiteful with every word. Sharon almost couldn't hear anymore. Her head went blank but she still held on, squeezing her eyes trying to brace herself for what was about to come. "In bed."

With that he gave her one last push before letting her go , along with all the pent up anguish and frustration. He moved away and Sharon felt her worlds come crashing down. Her legs went numb first, then gave up completely and she tried to reach out and hold onto him but he wasn't there. He was gone. The next thing, her body gave into gravity and she fell.

Swayam stepped back and felt his heart drop to the pit of his stomach as watched her fall to the ground with a thump. All his anger melted into worry just looking at her pale, hopeless face.

"Sharon?"

[A/N #2: Firstly, thank you for not giving up on my story. I had been giving regular updates towards the beginning (and tbh, I was kinda proud of myself with the consistency) but lately I know I haven't been the most meticulous and I was away for almost a week. I am moving out this Sunday, starting a job. My laptop was away for like 2 days because the operating system crashed and I still have tons of packing yet to be done. But at the end of the day, these are excuses and I AM very sorry I couldn't update before. But you people have been so supportive and I have received SO much love that its overwhelming and thank you so much for all the comments and all the PMs. I may not be able to give regular updates from now but I will try not to be this late again. But either way, I am not giving up on the story. I will complete it. And I hope you guys won't either! Thanks again. Love, Rii]

P.s: I do take all the comments very seriously and even though it is my story, I do keep in mind while writing what content you all might like to read so do leave your reviews!
