"I love you. You believe me, right?"

"What happened Sharon?" His features softened as he spoke, not wanting to hear what was coming next. But he already knew. He knew that this time it was him and his words that triggered her bad dreams. Guilt crept into his head while he stared back at her blankly.

"I-I don't know" she sobbed. "I just keep waking up from these dreams -and I know its not real but" she stopped watching the hurt in his eyes. "I did not mean to hurt you Swayam. I'm sorry."

"Let it out, please just let it out" he spoke.

"Okay." She sighed. His stubbornness was getting on her nerves now but she had no option. He just wouldn't let this go.

"It was so dark that I couldn't see a thing. And then I see you. With Ruhi" she paused amd watched him flinch at her name. "And I tried to call you and kept begging you not to go and then I heard your voice."

Swayam looked at her with expectancy. "Then?"

"Then I heard your voice telling me that my love was a lie" she whispered brokenly.

She watched as he dropped his head into his palms and sank. Swayam didn't speak but his fingers went rigid gripping on his hair. They had been through this a million times and he knew. He knew that this was coming the moment those words had actually escaped his mouth. He hadn't realised she could be so broken by it, he hadn't wanted her to. The scene flashed in front of his eyes like it were yesterday.

-Flashback-

"Swayam please listen to me once" Sharon had been following him through the corridors as he entered college. It had been 2 days now that Swayam hadn't spoken to her, let alone returning her calls and messages. He wouldn't behave rude or anything, just blatantly ignored her presence from the space.

Her head was a mess, she hadn't slept two nights and the thought of eating anything at all was repulsive.

Swayam ignorantly walked into the boys locker room assuming she'd stop but was surprised when he heard her voice behind him. She had followed him in.

"You need to believe me Swayam-"

"I knew you are desperate. But this much? Sharon you're in the boys locker room" he said.

"Because this is important. Ruhi isn't what she pretends to be" she tried to sound convincing but Swayam was least interested in what she was saying.

"Oh, you know a lot about people pretending to be something they're not"  he said spitefully. "Should be. Thats what you had been doing with Kriya remember?"

Sharon stood their, swallowing her pride in a dry gulp, absorbing his hate. "Please believe me this time Swayam."

"Why?"

"Because I love you" she said.

Swayam didn't speak. He only laughed and turned back to take his books from the locker.

" And I care about you. I care about us " she continued. She had more to say but Swayam wouldn't listen. He banged the locker door shut and turned back facing her. He was fuming.

"You think so but I'm sorry to say you're wrong " he said. "Everything about you is so fake Sharon. So pretentious. Tumhe bas lagta hain ki tum mujhse pyaar karti ho. Lekin aisa nahi hain. You're incapable of love."
