[A/N: I can physically feel the agony of writers block teamed with work pressure. Hate adulting.]
Sharon waited patiently for Swayam to return home. She had spent the entire day practising how to break it to him, bought a pair of baby socks and a T shirt reading "Best Daddy Ever". She was nervous but deep down she knew there were no reasons to be. She knew her Swayam and he'd only take pride in being her baby daddy.
When the front door finally clicked open, her heart beats elevated. She found herself smoothening the hem of her skirt in anticipation and she couldn't recall the last time she was this nervous.
"Swayam" her cheerful voice echoed across the otherwise silent drawing room and she greeted him with an equally lively smile. In her hands she held a carefully wrapped bag containing the items she had previously purchased.
She walked up to him only to be met by an unexpected stern gaze.
"You must be tired" she put her arms around his neck. "But I think I have something that'll fix that.
"Yea, you're right. I am tired Sharon" he curtly replied.
Sharon frowned.
"What did you think while typing that mail in the morning, if I may ask?" he spoke. His voice was taunting and even though he tried not to be angry, he couldn't help it. "Or am I too distant now to know anything at all."
"Swayam" she nervously smiled as she realised that she was losing control over the situation.
"Maybe you could have let me know why instead of being so impulsive all the time because now when people call you selfish and irresponsible, I am running out of substance to defend you" he said.
Selfish? She was being selfish?
Sharon found herself questioning her choices but she knew she made the right decision. There were no better option than to call it quits. She had to choose between their baby and the academy and it wasn't an easy judgement, but she had thought it through.
"I'm still a part of the academy Swayam" she spoke haltingly. "I just -can't continue dancing."
"You know what?" he gritted his teeth as he continued. "I don't even feel like coming after you asking why."
"Swayam" she fumbled as tears choked her words. "Please, this is important."
"Yea I think its a little late for that."
He left without listening, without asking whats in her hand. Without letting her speak, without picking her up in his arms and twirling. Saying that he is the happiest man in the world, like they do in the movies.
In the heat of the moment, Sharon snapped. She flung the paper bag into the dustbin and wiped her tears, storming off behind him. Swayam wasn't ready to listen but this time, she'd had enough. He had to. This is his baby and he has to listen to know that. She was met with a closed bedroom door and stood their banging on her palm against the wood, saving the tears from falling. Her features sharpened as she spoke. "Swayam open the door. You have to listen to me."
There was no answer. Sharon had lost track of time for which she stood their knocking, yelling. But she had already ruined her stern hold when the tears started to flow and soon she found herself sinking to the floor.
