Chapter Four

04 - Forgiven

One year had passed, and many things happened. I looked at my side and saw Jax. He was with me those times.

He never left me and stayed with me, most especially in those dark and heart-wrenching times.

Thalia was also there, but when I thought I was there for her too, I think it was never enough. I hope she is better wherever she is.

Jax stopped his car when we reached our school. I'm so excited and nervous that this will be our last year here.

We decided that after we graduate, I will be moving into Jax's penthouse. Mommy, Daddy, and my two brothers agreed! Well, my two brothers took a long time to approve, but then they gave in. I am delighted that they are very supportive of my relationship with Jax.

"Thinking hard?" a husky voice whispered in my ear.

That's when I noticed that he already opened the door on my side. I went out of his car when I thought of something and grinned.

"Thinking about you." I teased.

Jax's arms wrapped around my waist, pulling my back against his chest. With his chin on my shoulder and hot breath on my neck.

"Hmmm. What about it?" He huskily asked.

'"Secret." I beamed at him, and he chuckled.

"Let's go somewhere." Paanyaya niya.

"Where?"

"Secret." Imitating me.

He let go of me and gently grabbed my hand, leading me down the hallway. We went to the library, and pulled me to the darkest part of it.

He pushed me against the shelf. What if we get caught? What if —

My thoughts were cut off when I felt Jax's lips on mine. He kissed me passionately. He was so gentle and prudent. He kissed me with so much tenderness. Everything was so gentle.

His eyes were closed. So I closed mine. I savored the sweet taste of his lips. His hands were busy roaming my back, tracing the lines of my spine.

He was leaving a trail of fire in every part of my skin. Making me crave more for him.

We pulled away. Jax's intense stare almost made me fall from my knees. My cheeks were flushed.

"You are so beautiful, Cali. I'm lucky that you are mine. I love you." He said that while holding my cheeks. He winked at me and sent shivers down my spine.

He was looking at my lips intently. I gently pushed his chest to free from his hold, but I failed. His arm went around my waist, and he gave me a quick peck to my lips.

"Let's stay here, baby." I stared at him in disbelief.

"What? We still have class, Jax. Come on."

"I want to be with you, Cali. Please?" He smirked devilishly. I know that he's just testing me. Knowing him, he doesn't want me to skip my classes. Siya pa na vying for Latin Honors.

"No, let's go back." I dragged his hand and went out of the library. When we reached my room, he suddenly hugged me to return the favor.

"I love you, Cali." He whispered sincerely.

"I love you too, Jax." Then, we pulled away from the hug.

"See you later, baby." And he kissed my lips.

"See you later, Jax." Napangiti na lang ako habang tinitignan siyang paalis.

I hope that our relationship will stay as perfect as this moment. That nothing or no one in this world could ever separate us.
