Leaf's Dream

There was a little boy, with quite straight black hair and forest green eyes. He had a dream, a dream to skate.

His name was Leaf. This timid little boy came from a family that's not so rich, but they didn't have the budget to take him to skating classes, let alone buy him skates.

Leaf's best friend, Cyclone, also had the same interest, he, too, didn't have the money to fulfill his dream, but the both of them smiled positively when they talked about it.

" One day, we're gonna be so famous we'll be all over the world! " Cyclone said, throwing his little arms up in the air. Leaf felt a gust of wind when he did that.

" CyCy, you're making the wind go crazy again! " he said.

Cyclone chuckled. " Sorry! " he said and lowered his arms, also calming the wind by doing so.

" Do you really think we can skate one day? " Leaf asked his best friend.

" Of course! When I grow up, I'm gonna make alot of money so I can buy skates and we can go skating together! " Cyclone said happily.

Leaf smiled. " You're always so positive and confident, CyCy. I'm happy you're my friend, " he said to him. Cyclone couldn't help but smile, they really were the best of friends.

At Leaf's home....

Leaf was sitting in front of the television again to watch his favourite show.

" Leaf, don't stay too long on front of the television, remember you still need to finish your homework! " his mother reminded him from the kitchen.

" Okay, mum! " Leaf called out so she could hear. He turned his head back to the television, to continue the show.

He watched as the contestant skate gracefully along the ice rink, doing impressive moves and making the crowd go wild.

Leaf's jaw fell down with a smile. He pulled his pillow closer to himself.
" I wish I can be like him, " he said.

He watched as the contestant he watched earlier get the first prize. He noticed that that contestant was none other than Tobias Aba, the best ice skater in the country.

Tobias Aba had definitely inspired Leaf, he wanted to be just like him. Just as talented, just as famous. He watched everything that had Tobias Aba in it, all the interviews, everything.

Tobias Aba said a quote that Leaf would forever remember, he said it in an interview after one of his victories.
" If you wanna fulfil your dreams, you gotta work for it. Even if you don't have the money, work for it; even if you think you aren't worthy, work for it. There's nothing that can stop you getting to your dream. "

That stuck to him for a very long time. And always will. He wanted to get a small job in a supermarket or something if he can't afford to go to college. At least he had something to do.

After the show, Leaf skipped his way up to his room after another call from his mum.
