You're Special

It was still the same night. Quake had been taking care of Thunder because of his sudden sickness. But the good thing was, he was getting better.

Quake had left Thunder to his own devices a few minutes ago. Leaf asked him if he could see him.

" Sure you can. But be sure you knock first. He doesn't really like people barging in suddenly, " Quake said.

" Yeah, I should know that by now. Thanks, Quake! " Leaf said. He walked to the corridor where the rooms were. He arrived at Thunder's room. And of course, he knocked.

He heard a faint " Come in ", so he did.
He opened the door, Thunder was in his bed, sitting up. He looked at Leaf.

" Oh, hello, Leaf, " he said as he put the book he was reading down.

" Hi, Thunder, " Leaf said, closing the door. " How are you feeling? "

" I'm feeling better. Thanks, " Thunder said. Leaf went up to him and sat in the chair near the bed. He opened his mouth for a moment, preparing to say something.

Finally, he spoke. " ... You knew, that the water was poisoned, didn't you? You gave me another bottle so that I wouldn't be poisoned, " he said.

Thunder looked at him, his look couldn't be identified. Leaf looked at him as well.

" Why? " he asked.

Thunder turned his eyes away from Leaf. He looked at the ceiling. " I had a bad feeling about it. I wanted to protect you from it, even if it's no harm, " he said. His eyes turned back to Leaf.

" Cyclone had told us so much about you before you came, you know. And believe or not, all of us have more than one thing in common, " he said. Leaf tilted his head, confused.

" Well, I guess I can say that I have a liking for ice-skating, " he said. " But, really. Thank you, Thunder. For both saving me and giving me the opportunity to compete. "

" You're an extraordinary guy, Leaf. Having you on the team will definitely benefit both you and us, " Thunder said. Leaf smiled, receiving a small smile from Thunder.

" Leaf! So you're here! " Cyclone called out to Leaf, who was sitting in the living room.

" Yeah, I am. How are you, Cyclone? " Leaf said.

" I'm great! " Cyclone said. He say next to him. " You know, ever since you got here, we haven't had much quality time with each other. "

" Yeah, I've noticed. Well, at least we're having some now! " Leaf said. Cyclone smiled.

" Hey, " he said, gaining Leaf's attention. " Remember this? " Cyclone waved his hands around, and the wind became stronger.

" Ah! Haha... Yeah, I do remember, " Leaf said, feeling the nice wind. " Were you able to use your powers here? "

" Of course! It's just the same! " Cyclone said, playing with the wind.
" Is it getting a little cold? "

" Maybe it's because you made the wind stronger, " Leaf said sarcastically, which made Cyclone smile and nudge him.

" You know that isn't what I mean! " he said.
