Everything looked like a sea of stars. Thousands of white shiny dots covered the whole stadium. It was beautiful. Just like she was that day.
The screams never ended, they were all showing us their support, calling out our names, singing with us. In moments like these, I always felt like crying. But she was standing next to me, holding hands and bowing to the audience, giving me strength. We just sang our new song with her, she made it all more perfect. We sounded like EXO, the real EXO, and she gave the special touch.
It wasn't just any concert, it was our comeback, the beginning of our tour. We would go around Korea, Asia and the world and she would come with us. She. My best friend, everyone's best friend. Sometimes the guys would fight over who was the closest to her, but even though I never took part of those silly fights I knew it was me. She only speaks to me when the only thing she can do is cry, she comes into my room in the middle of the night to ask for a hug. We do things that couples do, without being a couple. And I never noticed. Not until that night.
She was wearing a beautiful black dress, it had this thing girls love that makes it sparkle with the reflection of the lights; she was almost my height thanks to those high heels, I don't know how girls do it but I have to thank the one who invented them. Her lips were closer to mine thanks to them. And how her hair fell over her shoulders, she was an angel, a goddess, Aphrodite.
"Sehun? Hey..." She waved her hand trying to catch my attention, bring me back to Earth. "The next song is about to start... you can't just.. stand there" And she had a point, I couldn't. But I didn't want to let go of her hand. I wanted to hold it so badly, like never before. "True... let's go" I managed to say, before kissing the back of her hand while the lights were out, so no one could see us.
I wish I knew what was the reaction on her face but I didn't have enough time to think about it. The next song was already starting and Kyungsoo's voice filled the whole stadium. Damn him and their duet. I felt jealous, I didn't know why but I was jealous of my brother. "Chan? I need you to do me a favor..." "What is it Sehun... this is so unlike you" "Shut up, I need to sing your part.. please.. just let me do it once.. I won't ask again" Chanyeol was in charge of the rap in Kyungsoo's and her song, but I needed to do it, I needed to reach her. It was that kind of impulse you can't explain but you feel the urge to do it and Chan must have seen the desperation in my face, when he patted my shoulder and muttered a 'yes' before leaving the stage. "Thank you..."
I knew we were going to be in trouble after the concert, but the lights spotted me and I had to start rapping before any thought clouded my mind. Kyungsoo didn't even look surprised and she managed it well. I knew every word, remembered every note and knew perfectly that before the song ended I had a few moments to kiss her. And I did. I kissed my best friend in front of thousands of fans, kissed her just as her last song finished. Kissed her in a way I didn't know I wanted. I loved her.
For a moment it all went quiet, maybe it was just my brain processing what I just did. To be fair, I didn't have anything planned, I just wanted to be where she was. But as the music faded away and her lips curved a shy smile, the noise came back. I could even hear my heart, beating as if it had it's own microphone. I loved her and I just kind of declared my love in front of the whole world. "You don't know how much I waited for that..." She whispered "I... do you think they are angry?" I said, pointing to the crowd "Are you deaf? Can't you hear them whistling and rooting for you? I think they also want you to give me a second kiss..."
