Woaaaah so as you know I've been away from this fic for a while. Gonna happen a lot more now I'm getting closer to Uni starting up again...
Either way, Hope this lives up to the standards of the other ones, and if not, please forgive me as I introduce myself back into writing.

It had been a long day at the DPD for Hank and Connor and both wanted nothing more than to get home to you. You never failed to brighten up their day, no matter how stressful it was. As Hank pulled his car into the drive Connor suddenly spotted some movement in the window. You had been sat on the windowsill, patiently waiting for your 2 favourite detectives to come home. The moment you saw the familiar car reverse into the driveway, you sprang to your feet running for the door.
"Brace yourself, Lieutenant." Connor stated with a hint of amusement in his voice. Hank was fairly confused in the beginning, it wasn't until he was practically tackled into the side of the car the moment he closed the driver's door that he realised what Connor had been referring to. Once Connor had come around from his side of the car you released Hank from the vice-like embrace and instead went to tackle Connor.
"Heh, miss us that much didja kiddo?" Hank said with a chuckle as Connor ruffled your hair. The android suddenly pulled his hand away and looked at it in slight disgust whilst at the same time, Hank had also realised and was wiping his hands on his shirt and jacket.

Getting a better look at you, your hair was caked in grass and mud, yet this didn't top you from having one of the biggest smiles on your face.
"(y/n), what on earth have you got in your hair!!" Hank yelled, slightly annoyed.
"Exactly that! Earth!" You happily replied, yet the scowls from both Hank and Connor told you that maybe that was the wrong response. Your smile fades and your gaze falls to the floor as you begin to explain what happened.
"You were taking a little longer to come home so I decided to play with Sumo in the garden while I waited. I was making sure that neither of us were getting dirty as I know what happens when you give Sumo a bath..." As you say this, Sumo gently trots on over to the door to see the commotion, hardly a speck of dirt on him. Connor opened his mouth to ask what happened for you to suddenly be so dirty, but you answered his question before he could even ask it.
"I wasn't looking where I was going... and I slipped and fell in a patch of mud." You were now gripping the hem of your sweater as you explained, both Hank and Connor kneeling in front of you whilst you explained. Suddenly your head shot up, but tears brimming your eyes.
"I made sure not to get mud everywhere in the house, so I took off my shoes and rolled my muddy trousers up before finding clean clothes and throwing the dirty ones in the washing machine! But no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get the mud out of my hair..." Ahh, so that'll explain why the mud in your hair was as wet as it was. You hung your head again as the tears rolled down your cheek.

Connor and Hank looked at each other before Connor gently lifted your head up so you were looking at them. They couldn't be mad at you for trying.
"Hey, it's OK. We aren't mad. You did your best to ensure everything stayed clean and even tried to wash your hair yourself! If anything, we are proud of you (y/n). But no more cheekiness." Connor booped your nose causing you to giggle through your sniffles as Hank gave you a handkerchief (:3) from his pocket to wipe your tears away. Hank gave a sigh as he stood up and began to make his way into the house, you and Connor in tow holding hands.
"C'mon then kiddo, you need a bath to get that mud out of your hair and warm you up. That damp hair surely must have made you cold by now." Hank looked over his shoulder at you briefly, watching you snuggle up into the sweater you were wearing to keep yourself warm.
"I can confirm their body temperature is lower than usual and very gradually dropping Lieutenant." Connor piped up, confirming Hanks suspicions. Hank began to make his way towards the bathroom, but was stopped by a firm hand on his shoulder.
"You get yourself some clean clothes and have a rest. It's been a long day today. I'll help this little mud covered individual." Connor spoke to Hank, giving a small playful grin to you of which you happily returned.
