Hunter's POV
1 month later
"Ok guys, we have a three day break until the show in Pensacola Beach, Florida." Dann announced.
"Awesome!" I said, taking a sip of coffee. Last night we had a concert in Lafayette, so I'm headed to my parents house for this three day break. We're allowed to leave after a few more announcements. I head over to Cassidy's bus and wait for her to finish packing her bag. "You ready Cass?" I ask, walking into her room.
"Yup!" she said, appearing from a corner. "I can't wait to see Luke!"
"I'm sure he's pumped to see you." I said, grabbing her bag for her. "When does your flight leave?"
"2:05. It's about noon right now so I better get to the airport." Cassidy said, getting her phone off the table. "Lets go love." She slipped her hand into my much larger one and we headed out to my car.
We drove the short way to the airport in a comfortable silence with the soft music playing in the background. We walked into the airport, making sure our hats covered our faces along with our sunglasses. "I'm gonna miss you Cass." I said, handing her bag over.
"I know, but I'll see you in three days Hunt." she said, giving me a tight hug. "I love you Hunter." Cassidy place a quick kiss on my nose.
I place a small kiss on her lips before responding. "I love you, too, Cassidy." I hold her in a hug for a minuet or two before she had to go through security.
Before she started to go up the stairs, she turned around and mouthed. "I love you."
I let a smile appear on my face before mouthing "I love you." Cassidy turned around and headed through security. I decided to head down to my parent's house right away since my ma was making her signature gumbo.
I begin the drive to Breaux Bridge, listening to the soft country music playing in the background. About half way there, my phone started to vibrate. I picked it up off of the passengers seat and saw it was a message from Cassidy
C-Baby: Just about to board the plane. Love you bebe.
Me: Have a safe trip. Love you Cass.
I tossed my phone into the passengers seat and drove the rest of the way jamming out to some good old country music.
I was in my drive way fifteen minutes later. I put my car in park and walked up to the front door. I knocked once before letting myself in. "Ma, dad I'm home!" I said, walking into the kitchen.
"Hunter! You're home!" my mom said, pulling me into a heart warming hug. "How's the tour going?"
"It's great. I'm having a lot of fun!" I said, smiling. "Where dad?" I asked, looking into the living room.
"He went to get something for supper tonight." ma started. "He should be back pretty soon."
"Alright." I said, taking a seat at the bar. "You're making gumbo right?"
"I couldn't not make gumbo knowing you're coming home!" ma said, turning back to the gumbo. "So how's Cassidy?"
"She's great. We're still together. Still best friends." I said, smiling.
"Where is she tonight? You two are always together." she asked, glancing over at me.
"She went to visit a friend of hers. It's actually Luke Bryan." I said, pulling out my phone.
"Oh, why did she go visit him?" ma asked.
"She was supposed to your with him." I said, unlocking my phone. "I think she's performing with him for a few shows too."
