{Chapter 11: Back to those bad boy ways}
"So where do you think they are?" Adela asked her friends as they all sat at their old table in the cafeteria as they ate their lunch.
"Who knows?" Danielle shrugged.
"Girls, they're bad boys. They don't necessarily come to school every day." Sophia explained, poking at her salad.
"Sophia's right. They're not known for their excellent attendance." Katie added.
"But aren't you supposed to meet with Jack for your project today?" Adela asked as she bit into her sandwich.
"Yeah." Katie nodded.
"The other guys are probably with him, considering the fact that we haven't seen Cole or Riker either." Adela added.
"Oh so we're looking for bad boys now, are we Adela?" Danielle teased, wiggling her eyebrows.
Adela blushed. "N-no."
"Oohh someone's got a crush~~~" Katie sang.
"Aw which bad boy are you gunning for sweetie?" Sophia asked, brow raised with a smirk as she leaned in closer to her friend as if talking about a conspiracy.
"N-no one! I swear!" Adela promised, blushing even harder.
"It's written all over your face! Just spit it out!" Danielle urged.
"Oh fine! I have a crush on Cole..." Adela muttered, her face in her hands."
"Cole?! As in Cole Hartman??" Sophia laughed, holding her stomach.
"Oh my god this is embarrassing..." Adela whined.
"Aww, it's okay! I think it's cute." Katie smiled sympathetically as she rubbed her friends back in comfort.
"Definitely." Danielle agreed with a nod of her head.
"We'll help you get your man." Sophia winked. "No worries, Dell. We've got your back."
"Thanks guys." Adela smiled just as the bell rang. "See you girls later!" She waved, standing up to get to class.
"Yeah, I'll text you guys later!" Katie smiled, grabbing her stuff and heading off to class.

Meanwhile, Jack, Riker and Cole all sat in their favorite diner, eating their lunch of burgers, fries and pop as Jack informed his friends on what happened the night before.
"Dude... He's taking this way too far, bringing Katie in like that." Cole sighed, running his hand through his blonde hair. "This is fucked up."
"I know. But apparently she's always been involved." Jack shrugged. Right before he went to bed the night before he decided to throw away any feelings he had for her and try to just stay acquaintances with her for her safety.
"How? Last time I checked she wasn't-" Riker started before Jack cut him off.
"I know. But my dad said so. Just not how." Jack shrugged. "I gotta get some shit off my shoulders bro." He sighed.
"Well, I've got the paint cans. Wanna go to the tunnel?" Cole suggested.
"You know me too well, bro." Jack smiled and got up, leaving some money on the table to pay. The three boys walked to the nearby abandoned train tunnel and began leaving their mark until sirens started blaring and the three ran off, laughing their heads off.
~~~~~
As Katie stopped by her locker before leaving to go home, she noticed Jack walking down the hall with Cole and Riker in tow. She grabbed what she needed and closed her locker door before heading over to the bad boys.
"Hey sweetheart. Missed me?" Jack asked with a smirk as Katie rolled her eyes.
"In your dreams, Jack. Where were you earlier?" Katie asked, curious.
"We blew off school and went out." Riker shrugged.
"Then got busted for vandalism." Cole added with a smirk.
"You know, I'm not even going to ask. You ready to work on the project, Jack?" Katie asked.
"Sure. You get walking home and I'll meet you there. I gotta go talk to the principal." Jack lied.
"Why what did you do now?" Katie asked, not picking up on the lie.
"None of your business, Miller. Just get to my place."
Katie raised a brow at his sudden mood change but ignored it. "Okay then... See you there." She made her way outside, and began riding her bike to Jack's place.
On the way home, she had a weird feeling that someone was following her and turned around but only saw a man in his twenties walking his dog. Katie shrugged and continued to make her way to Jack's house.
~~~~~
Jack didn't need to see the principal. He needed to see someone else he hated. Jack, Cole and Riker walked over to the back of the school parking lot knowing where his target was.
Jack found Hunter who was all alone immediately and grabbed him by the collar, flanked by his friends.
~~~~~
Katie and Jack worked hard up in his room, working on a power point for the presentation when Katie asked him something.
"Jack is everything okay?"
"Everything's fine." He lied. "Why?"
"It's just that you seemed a bit off this afternoon..."
"I'm fine. Don't worry about me. Just worry about your marks." He teased.
Suddenly Jack got a text message from Riker. Having an idea on what he texted him, Jack glanced at Katie who was fully concentrated on the power point.
Jack read the text and smirked.
We got the job done.
Yay! Another chapter! I know it's short but I wanted to save the rest for the next chapter since what I had planned just didn't fit into this one.
And I know I made Jack POV a bit short so I could leave you guys to your imagination ;) Along with that last sentance, We got the job done. What do you think it means, hmm?
Also thanks you guys so much for the support you've given the book! It warms me up on the inside seeing that 482 have read something that I wrote ^.^ Thanks sooo much!
