Sofia and her best friend—and boyfriend—Prince Hugo knew each other's allergies very well, and they remembered when a few certain people tried to make them allergic to each other.

Once at Enchancia Castle, Hildegard found an enchanted emerald that could only grant three wishes. She used one wish to make Sofia allergic to Hugo—but the wish backfired, making Hugo smell like Sofia's allergies: lilies and perfume. Because Hildegard used all the emerald's wishes, Sofia had to undo Hildegard's wish by using the old Wishing Well in the garden.

Hugo went through this experience again when he first met Sofia's old friends from Dunwiddie Village, Ruby and Jade. The two girls were so jealous of Hugo that when they found an enchanted amethyst that grants wishes, they wished for Sofia to be allergic to Hugo. Therefore, Hugo found himself in the same problem Hildegard put him in when she found that emerald. All three wishes in the amethyst had been wasted, so Sofia had to undo this wish by using the Magic Mirror that was stashed away in the attic.

Sofia found herself in Hugo's shoes when Hildegard and Clio found a wish-granting garnet—and Hildegard wished Hugo was allergic to Sofia, which made the latter smell like his allergies: sunflowers and peach blossoms. However, unlike the emerald and amethyst, the garnet granted four wishes. Hildegard and Clio used three wishes already, and Hugo used the last one to undo Hildegard's wish.

Sofia and Hugo knew that they would never really be allergic to each other—but one day, they feared that was true.

Hugo and his family had been gone for a vacation for a week, and tomorrow afternoon, they'll be coming home.

Sofia was out with Amber and Hildegard in a shop where perfumes, lotions, and soaps were sold. Amber and Hildegard were looking at perfume—and since Sofia is allergic to perfume, she was looking at the lotions.

"My goodness, these perfumes are delightful," Amber smiled.

"This Bombshell perfume is divine," Hildegard gushed.

"As is this Eau de Heaven perfume," Amber grinned. Then something caught her eye. "Hildy, didn't you create that fancy new fragrance, Fleur de Freezenburg?"

"Yes, why?" Hildegard asked.

"It's on the market," Amber declared. She showed Hildegard a fancy perfume bottle that was entitled Fleur de Freezenburg.

"Goodness—it was already in stores in Freezenburg, but I didn't know other kingdoms had it, too," Hildegard gasped.

"Oh, if only Sofia wasn't allergic to perfume, she'd really love this," Amber said.

"Where is she anyway?" Hildegard asked.

"She saw she wanted to see the lotions," Amber replied. "Let's go and find her."

Sofia was looking at many beautiful fragrant lotions when one of them caught her eye.

"Sofia, have you seen anything good?" Amber asked.

"Yes, Hildegard's new fragrance is on the market," Sofia replied. "It's sold as lotion and bubble bath."

"Goodness," Hildegard gaped. "I can't believe they put my fragrance on the market this way." Then she got an idea. "Sofia, I think you should get this Fleur de Freezenburg bubble bath. I'm sure Prince Hugo would love to come and see you when you smell like this."

"Maybe I will," Sofia smiled.
