The next day, Axel took Hugo to see Sofia in Enchancia. Sofia and Hugo were playing chess, and Sofia managed to capture Hugo's king.

"Checkmate!" Sofia beamed.

"You win again, Sofie," giggled Hugo.

"Do you want to play one more game?" Sofia offered. "Let's switch colors this time."

"Okay," Hugo nodded.

Sofia now had the white pieces and Hugo black—but just as the pieces were arranged, Hugo sneezed.

"Bless you," Sofia and Axel said.

"Thanks," Hugo sniffled. But to his horror, he broke out in green spots.

"Goodness!" Sofia gasped.

"I don't get it," Axel frowned. "Sofia is fine—why are you..."

Hugo let out a sneeze—and so did Sofia. Axel was surprised but what was going on, but then he sniffed something out. "I smell perfume—Fleur de Freezenburg, to be exact," he declared.

Suddenly, Amber and Clio showed up in the library. "What are you doing, Hildy?" Clio glared.

"Are you trying to trick Hugo and Sofia into thinking they're allergic to each other again?" Amber frowned.

Hildegard came out from hiding and smiled sheepishly, but Sofia and the princes glared at her.

"Have you been raised by hedgehogs under rock?" Sofia growled. "You should know better than to trick us like that!"

"Don't your lessons ever sink in?" Hugo glared.

"Don't worry—you'll be okay," Clio declared.

Amber took Hildegard by the arm and dragged her away. Now that Hildegard was gone, Sofia and Hugo were feeling much better.

"Thanks goodness," Hugo sighed as his skin cleared up.

"Don't I know it?" Sofia smiled. "Let's resume our game before Hildy gets back."

"Great idea," Hugo nodded.

Sofia and Hugo resumed their game of chess.

Sofia and Hugo were pleased that everything is okay, and they learned a big lesson: it's never a good idea for jump to conclusions. It's important to get every detail—that way, there would no misunderstandings. Sofia and Hugo hoped not to make that mistake again.
