Late in the next afternoon, Hugo and his family had made it home safe and sound. Hugo and his older brother, Axel, were in their room, putting their things where they belong. After that, they were so tired from traveling that they lay down on their beds to rest. Later, their father, King Garrick, came to see them.

"How are my boys?" Garrick asked.

"Fine, Dad," Axel and Hugo chorused.

"Great," Garrick smiled. He turned to Hugo and said, "Well, Hugo, why don't you go and see Sofia for a while? I want you home before dark."

"Okay, Dad," Hugo smiled.

At Enchancia Castle, Sofia was in her room, playing with Clover the bunny, Mia the bluebird, and Robin the...robin.

"So your prince is coming home today, princess," Clover smiled.

"Is he coming over anytime soon?" Mia asked.

Before Sofia could answer, she heard Hugo's voice ring out, "Hello, hello!"

Sofia quickly turned and saw Hugo standing in the doorway of her bedroom. "Hugo!" she cried happily. She ran up to him.

"Sofia, I missed you so much!" Hugo cried, hugging his girlfriend.

"I missed you, too," Sofia smiled. "How was your trip?"

"It was fun," Hugo replied. But then he let out a sneeze.

"Bless you," Sofia said.

"Thanks," Hugo said. But he didn't realize that he was breaking out in green spots.

"Whoa, look at you," Sofia gasped.

Hugo looked at his skin and gasped, "Whoa, how did this happen?"

Suddenly, Amber and Hildegard showed up, happy to see Hugo.

"Prince Hugo!" Amber beamed.

"Welcome back!" Hildegard chimed in. "How was your trip?"

"Fun," Hugo smiled. But then he sneezed again, and more green spots appeared on his skin.

"Bless you," the girls said.

"Thanks," Hugo sniffled. He blew his nose on a handkerchief.

"Goodness, what happened?" Amber asked.

James passed Sofia's room only to come back and peek through the door. "Hugo, you're back," he smiled.

"Hi, James," Hugo waved. "How was your..." But then he sneezed again.

"Bless you," James and the girls told him.

"Thanks," Hugo smiled. But then he sneezed again.

"Are you okay, Hugo?" Sofia frowned. "It sounds like you've got a cold—one that makes you break out in a rash like this."

"Well, it was pretty cold where we went for our vacation," Hugo declared.

"Maybe you should go home and rest," James suggested.

"No, he just got here—he can't leave now," Hildegard protested.

"Hildy, Hugo should go home," Sofia chided her. "He's traveled pretty far to get home."

"She's right," Hugo nodded. "My dad wants me home before dark anyway. I'll see you tomorrow." He went and left Sofia's room.

"Feel better," James waved.

But when Hugo left Enchancia Castle, he didn't feel like sneezing or breaking out anymore.

That night, Hugo and Axel were ready for bed. Axel was in his bed, reading a book, when he saw Hugo twitching his nose like a bunny, expecting the urge to sneeze.

"Hugo, are you okay?" Axel asked. "You've been doing that since you got back from Enchancia."

"Well, something weird is going on," Hugo said. "When I saw Sofia, I started sneezing and breaking out in green spots. She thought I was sick, but when I left, I felt fine."

"Maybe you're just allergic to Sofia," Axel joked.

Hugo just looked at Axel as though the latter was crazy, but then both brothers started laughing themselves silly. Garrick came to see his sons and it made him happy to hear them laugh like this.

"Did I miss a good joke?" Garrick chuckled.

"Very," giggled Hugo. "Axel here thinks I'm allergic to Sofia!"

The princes were still laughing at the joke, but Garrick wasn't so sure if it was funny. "I hope that really is a joke," he declared.

"Don't worry, Dad—I'm sure it's just a joke," Hugo assured his father.

"Well, I bet my boys are tried from their journey," Garrick assumed.

"We sure are," Axel yawned.

"Sweet dreams, boys," Garrick smiled.

"Good night, Dad," the princes chorused.

When Garrick closed the door, Hugo and Axel curled up in their beds and fell asleep.
