Later, at Enchancia Castle, Sofia was still upset about breaking up with Hugo. She was in the garden, watering plants. Amber, James, and their friends felt sorry for her.
"Poor Sofia," Amber remarked.
"She's still not over her breakup," James frowned.
Suddenly, Hugo's voice rang out, "Sofia!"
Amber, James, Hildegard, and Zandar froze up when they saw Hugo coming toward Sofia, who was surprised to see him.
"Hugo?" Sofia gasped. But then she slipped and fell in a mud puddle.
Hugo took Sofia's hand and helped her up on her feet. "Sorry, I didn't meant to surprise you," he apologized.
Sofia and Hugo were so happy to see each other that they hugged tightly. Sofia was really happy to see Hugo, but something caught her off guard. "Hugo, you don't know how happy I am to see you!" she cried. "But what are you even doing here—and why aren't you sneezing and breaking out?"
Hugo realized that he didn't feel the urge to sneeze or break out in green spots. "I came to see you—and I don't even feel like reacting," he replied.
Amber, Hildegard, James, and Zandar went up to the duo, surprised by what's happening.
"You don't need to sneeze or break out in spots?" James asked.
"What cured you?" Zandar asked.
Hugo wondered what made him stop sneezing and breaking out in his rash—then seeing his ex-girlfriend covered mud made him realize something. "Oh, the mud must've blocked out the aroma," he deduced.
Sofia thought this made sense, but she was confused. "What aroma?" she asked.
"Sofia, have you been using Fleur de Freezenburg bubble bath lately?" Hugo asked.
"How did you know?" Sofia asked.
"Just today, my mom bought me and my brother each some Fleur de Freezenburg bubble bath," Hugo replied.
Hildegard loved the sound of that. "Gasp of joy!" she gasped.
"You spoke too soon, Hildegard—the fragrance made me react the same way I did to Sofia," Hugo revealed.
Sofia was surprised to hear that. "Now that you mention it, I bought mine the day before you came back from your vacation," she recalled. "That was the first time I used it."
"You see?" Hugo smiled. "I never was allergic to Sofia—I'm allergic to Hildegard's fragrance, Fleur de Freezenburg. I think we know what that means."
Sofia's face lit up—she knew exactly what it meant. "We're back together?" she gasped.
"Yes, we are!" Hugo cried happily.
Sofia and Hugo hugged happily, and the other royals cheered—but Hildegard just clapped slowly, disappointed that she missed her chance at getting Hugo to be her boyfriend.
"What's in the bag, Hugo?" Zandar asked.
"Axel and I went with Mom to return that bubble bath she bought, so we could pick out ones that won't make us sneeze," Hugo replied. "She let me get this for Sofia."
Hugo handed the bag to Sofia. She was happy that Hugo had gotten her lavender bubble bath to replace the one she bought almost a week ago. "Just what I needed—thanks, Hugo," she smiled.
"No problem," Hugo smiled back.
Sofia went to take a bath, and she threw away her Fleur de Freezenburg soap. After that, she was cleaned up and wearing the purple dress she wore the first time she was in Avalor. Hugo didn't feel like sneezing or breaking out in spots.
"Perfect!" Hugo beamed.
Sofia and Hugo spent a lot of time together, happy that their friendship and relationship had been fixed.
That night, Hugo told his family what happened.
"I'm glad you and Sofia are back together, baby bro," Axel smiled.
"Me, too—it feels so good to have everything back to normal," Hugo sighed happily.
"I'm sorry you and Sofia broke up for nothing," Axel apologized.
"Don't worry about it—I'm just glad everything is okay now," Hugo smiled. "But the next time we run into something like that, we'll get the full details instead of just jumping to conclusions."
"Good boy," Axel smiled.
