Chapter 2

I woke up at around 9:00 the next morning. I got out of bed, put some socks on, and went downstairs. As soon as I went into the dining room, i smelled pancakes. I saw my parents and gave them each a hug and I picked up both my siblings, Luca and Isabella, and tickled them. It had been a while since I had seen them and I can't express how much I miss them when I'm away at college. 

"What do you say we go out today Alex?" asked my dad as we all sat and ate breakfast. My name is Alexa Marisela Celico Leite and I can honestly say I have the most nicknames in the world. 

"  I would love that Dad" I smiled as I answered. I loved spending time with my dad. He was my best friend and ever since I went to college I hardly ever saw him.

I met my dad downstairs when I finished getting ready. I hugged my mom and soon enough my father and his 3 kids were out in Downtown Rio de Janeiro. Isabella wanted an ice cream cone so I went to get her one. When she got it, she ran off and bumped into a man, staining his jeans. I ran after her. The man picked Isabella up from the floor and dusted her off.

" I am so sorry I didn't see her run off." I said to the man. When he looked up, I swear he was the most beautiful man I had ever seen. "It's fine she's just a little girl" He smiled as he answered.  "Yeah she barely turned 3" I tried not to be awkward.  I turned around and saw some people calling him. "Well I have to go" He left with that. 

I walked back to my dad and we talked until sundown. -------------------------------------------------------------

When I got back home, my uncle Thiago was there. "Glad you had a fun day, but guess where you're going tomorrow?" "I know, I know" I said as I hugged him.  I had always loved hugging my uncle. "I'm tired, I'm going to go to sleep" 

"Goodnight, my love" my mom kissed my forehead after she said it. I went upstairs and changed into my pajamas. As I lay in my bed that night, all I could think about was that man that I had met because of my little sister.........
