Author's note: Hey guys! I'm so sorry for not updating, school started and soccer practice and homework gave me no time to update! I will try and catch up as soon as I can!

After about 3 hours of just catching up with my uncle, my phone vibrated. I checked and saw a message from James.

"Are you going to be able to get away for a while?"

"Yeah, just give me a while."

I put my phone in my back pocket and looked at my uncle.

"Would you get mad if I leave for a little while?" I asked smiling like I used to when I was little when I wanted to convince someone to let me do something.

"Depends, where are you going?" He looked at me confused

"Somewhere" I said blandly

"Alexa."

"I'm going to meet someone for a little while, but I'll be back soon, I promise."

"How long?" He asked annoyed

"45 minutes?" I asked giving my best puppy face.

"No longer." He told me with a stern look.

"Thank you!" I yelled as I hugged him. "You're the best! I love you!"

"Yeah, yeah whatever." He said as he smiled while rolling his eyes.

"I'll see you later" I said as I walked back to the pizzeria from earlier. I texted James to tell him I would meet him there.

"I was able to getaway. The pizzeria across from the mall?"

Almost immediately he replied.

"Sure. I'll be there in about 15 minutes"

I walked into the pizzeria and sat in a booth in the corner. It was the booth me and my dad would always sit at when we would come. I checked my Instagram while James arrived. 10 minutes later, someone sat across from me.

"Hey" He said as he smiled his million dollar smile.

"Hey" I said as I put my phone away.

"You must really like pizza, I saw you here with your uncle earlier" He said as he got comfortable.

"Oh really? You were here earlier?" I said deciding to play it cool.

"Yeah, I brought my little sister. She landed yesterday, but I barely saw her this morning."

"You have a sister?" I asked immediately realizing that I didn't know as much about James as I thought I did.

"Yeah, I think we should start over you know? Get to know each other. What do you say?" He asked smiling

I smiled, extended my hand for him to shake it, and replied "My name is Alexa Celico. What about you?"

He smiled "My name is James."
