Upon returning to his dreadnaught, Hiccup had Toothless land on the deck and he slid off his dragon, he helped Astrid off, she smiled at him as he did to her. They then looked out toward Berk, Astrid buried a hand into his hair and started to gently scratch his scalp, causing Hiccup to close his eyes and groan pleasantly.

"What're thinking?" Astrid asked, Hiccup turned around and answered. "I just... I don't know if my actions were... justified. Did my actions make my parents proud, or would they be ashamed of the life I've taken just have my revenge." Astrid approaches her boyfriend and hugs him tightly, he returns the embrace, Astrid placed her head into Hiccup's chest, feeling his beating heart and his soft breathing.

"We're Vikings Hiccup. Yes we're warriors, and it is unfortunate you had to take innocent lives and make those innocent become slaves and serve us, but it was all for the greater good; your conquests, campaigns and adventures made Snotlout more unworthy to the throne than he already is." Astrid cupped Hiccup's cheek lovingly. "You are the rightful ruler of the Hairy Hooligans. You deserve the throne more than Snotlout. Your parents would be proud of you." Hiccup leaned into her touch and looked toward Berk.

"I hope you're right Milady."

(Island of Berk)

Snotlout ripped off his bear fur cape and threw it on the ground, he flipped over a nearby table and threw a jar of wine at a pillar and he roared in anger.

"He knew it was poisoned! Useless has always been smarter than all of us combined! I should've known better!!" Snotlout turned to glare daggers at Stefnir, he raised his hands up. "It's true! I'm just saying what happened." Snotlout pulled a map out of Berk and placed it in the table and everyone present gathered.

"Hiccup knows we're outnumbered, so what is he going to do first is what concerns me." Snotlout said, he drew out a dagger and pointed toward the harbor and Thors Beach. "They could sink our ships first; preventing us from escaping. It's what I would do too. And then Hiccup would deploy his army in Thors Beach, we'll need men to slow their advance at the beach while our catapults and ballistas try and take out as many of their ships and... dragon riders. Any questions? None? Go!" The Vikings loyal to Snotlout left the Hall and took their positions.

Spitelout, Snake and Wolf tribe chieftains remained, Snotlout turned to see them still here, the young man shrugged at them. "What?" Spitelout stepped up before the two other men would raise his sons blood pressure.

"Son... we're expecting you to fight for your right to be chief of Berk. A chief leads his people into battle, not just wait here and let your enemies march up the stairs to this Hall and slay you."

Snotlout rolled his eyes and replied. "What kind of leader would I be if I didn't join my brothers into battle?" Before Spitelout could answer—

"A lazy, scared and pathetic boy."

Snotlout turned to Snake tribe chieftain, the man was lean in muscle, had an asymmetrical hairstyle and a long beard, and he looked as if he was a sorcerer as well.

"I can smell your fear Snotlout Jorgenson. You know you've started a war that you cannot win, even with our aid, your "reign" is drawing its dying breath. Berk will be reborn and the Vikings will never miss or mourn you."

Snotlout's nails dug into the wood of his throne.

"Personally, I don't know what your father was thinking, he should've delivered the killing blow to his brother and claim the throne. Not you. You are unworthy of the title of chieftain."

Snotlout huffed and puffed with rage and shot up out of his throne. "WHO ARE YOU TO SPEAK SO BOLDLY TO ME SORCERER!! GET OUT!!" Snake tribe chieftain merely snickered and shrugged, before leaving, Wolf tribe chieftain left too, leaving father and son alone.

Snotlout growled and swatted away his fathers hand. "Dad, do you believe me to be unworthy of the throne?" Spitelout took a seat on the ground next to his son's throne and answered. "You are unworthy. You've been my tool Snotlout, all this time, you were my tool of vengeance. I believed you'd be ready to be Chief the night you killed Stoick." Spitelout looked his son in the eyes and shook his head. "But you're not." Snotlout's nostrils flared up.

Spitelout rose from the ground and headed toward the door, before he could pull the door open though.

"I am worthy father! I will prove it to you. To Hiccup and everyone gathered."

Spitelout didn't answer, he just pulled the door open and left the Hall, leaving Snotlout alone, the young man got up from his throne and headed toward the door, he was worthy. He was. And he was going to prove it. He then pulled opened the doors to the Hall to join his warriors and people.
