Chapter 24: Civil war/ justice

(Normal pov)

Snotlout exited the Hall to see his people and allies getting into positions, they nocked arrows, loaded the catapults and loaded the ballistas, they then heard roars, Snotlout ran toward the wall to see what was approaching, he nearly soiled himself at the sight.

Ash. Hiccup's Bewilderbeast emerged off the coast and gave a mighty roar, shortly after that, swarms of armored dragons flew off the decks of Hiccup's fleet and advanced toward Berk, Snotlout and his warriors released shaky breaths.

"Odin help us." Snotlout murmured under his breath, he then turned toward his men. "DON"T JUST STAND THERE!!! FIRE!!! FIRE!!!!!" The Vikings snapped out of their stupor and fired rounds of boulders and volley after volley of arrows and ballistas, Hiccup's dragon riders easily outmaneuvered all the attacks, they dive bombed on the traitorous Hooligans position and had their dragons destroy their weapons of war, the Vikings jumped out of the way or were sent back by the multiple explosions.

Snotlout grabbed a bow and a quiver full of arrows, he took aim and fired at the nearest rider, the pretender to the throne was shocked to see the arrow just bounced off the riders armor, the rider looked down and dropped bombs.

"MOVE!!!"

Snotlout jumped off the wall but the force of the explosion sent the pretender toward a nearby rock wall and he got smacked into it, Snotlout landed on his leg and he screamed in pain, he looked down to see he dislocated, he groaned in pain and slowly got up, but fell again, he watched in horror as Hiccup's dragon riders completely obliterated his defenses, he then looked toward the harbor.

No.

He saw his ships being blown to bits and being consumed by flames; ultimately sinking to the depths. Snotlout snarled and roared out to the heavens.

"HICCUP!!!!"

(Hiccup's dreadnaught)

Hiccup watched as his dragon rider swarm took flight toward Berk, their objective was to destroy Snotlout's catapults and ballistas, half of the riders would do that while the other half would destroy the enemy ships; preventing them from escaping Hiccup's wrath.

Hiccup, was dressed in his dragon scaled armor and had Inferno in hand, the young warrior turned to see his followers: men and women his age and older, faithful to his cause since the day they left the Archipelago and returned, Hiccup smiled as his warriors gave battle chants.

"Me friends! Are we afraid of death?" Hiccup asked in Norse. "NO!!!" The warriors and Hiccup answered, Hiccup then continued to boost his warriors moral. "We do not intend to die as old men or women in our beds!!" Hiccup roared out as his warriors cheered and roared in agreement. "Victory is all the better when it is hard won." Hiccup roared while smacking his warriors shields, they all roared in agreement and Hiccup finished his speech. "Valhalla awaits us!! Valhalla awaits!! Forward my brothers and sisters!! FORWARD!!!" The Vikings gave blood curdling roars and cheers, the ships at Hiccup's command charged, the warriors on board giving battle chants.

Hiccup panted as he turned to left to see Dagur, Cutthroat Heather dressed in Skrill scaled armor and at the ready with their Skrills. Astrid too was in her own dragon scaled armor, she had bonded with a Deadly Nadder she had named Stormfly, they applied armor on the Nadders body, it was comfortable for the dragon and it would protect her from arrows. Astrid had her sturdy shield strapped to her back and her trusty re forged Gronckle Iron battle axe in her right hand and her dragon scaled helmet with Nadder like spikes around the scalp of the helmet.

Hiccup turned to his right to see the rest of his friends: Fishlegs, Ruffnut, Tuffnut and Nyalong, all dressed in dragon scaled armor too. Fishlegs bonded with a female Gronckle he named Meatlug, the twins bonded with a Hideous Hippleback they named Barf and Belch and Nyalong bonded with a Monstrous Nightmare she named Blaze.
