TAKING OFF HER COAT, Samantha walked to her normal seat at an [usually] empty table — but now accompanied with another girl.

Lifting an eyebrow, Samantha sat next to the girl, who was doodling on a piece of paper. Clearing her throat, Samantha got the girls attention.

"Um...Hello," Samantha spoke, taking a seat next to the girl. "I'm Samantha Darling, and you must be..."

"Clara Mackenzie," the girl introduced. "Cole's twin sister."

"It's nice to meet you, Clara," Samantha gushed, a grin appearing on her face at the thought of making a new friend.

The girl smiled in return, "You as well, Samantha,"

"Alright, quiet ev-eryone," Mr. Phillips stuttered scanning his eyes over Prissy Andrews before setting down the piece of chalk in his hands.

Turning around to face Prissy, Samantha spoke, "That's a nice ribbon ring you have there, Prissy."

"I know right?" Prissy exclaimed. "I think it's cute how I'm messing with his mind by putting on this little thing."

Turning to Samantha, Clara whispered, "Hey, are you doing anything after school today? I know it's rude to ask but...I really don't want to go home."

Giving her a look of sympathy, Samantha replied, "Of course, Clara. I was planning on going to the Andrews' house with Prissy, Jane, and Josie, but you're more than welcome to come!"

"Really? Thank you," Clara spoke, a genuine smile forming as Samantha turned to the two girls behind her.

"Hey, Prissy," Samantha spoke, turning to face the girls. "Do you mind if Clara comes with us today?"

"Of course, the more the merrier," Prissy exclaimed.

"Great!" Samantha exclaimed, turning to face the front of the classroom to which they would begin their lesson.

After school ended, the five girls walked to the Andrews' house whilst gossiping about Mr. Phillips and Prissy. As they past the eery forest, they made their way to towards a large estate.

The five were greeted by Prissy and Jane's mother as they walked inside — the maid next to her holding a platter of tea which awaited them.
