Ashton's POV

It's around midnight at this point, and I still don't know where to go. I've been walking around town for the past 5 or so hours, passing house after house, but nowhere to sleep. I don't need to find somewhere today, as long as I get to school in the morning and talk to Amber and Oliver, maybe one of them can help me.

I finally stop near the town park, and decide I'm not gonna find a better place, so I find a bench in the park, and close my eyes. But sleep doesn't come easy. I lay there, staring up at the cloudy night sky, and I cry. I don't know what else to do, there's nothing I CAN do until the morning. Eventually, after I don't know how long, I drift off to sleep.

Thankfully, my phone has just enough charge left for my alarm to go off in the morning. Also thankfully, I've walked to the park after school before so I know how to get there. Finally somethings going right.

I walked into school, and looked at my reflection in one of the windows. I look like death. My hair is messy, my eyes are bloodshot from lack of sleep and crying, and I haven't brushed my teeth since yesterday morning. I hate myself for this.

The halls are fairly empty since I'm a few minutes early, but I spot Amber alone in the library.

"Hey!" She greets me. I don't reply. "What's up? You look like you slept in a barn."

"Well you're not too far off." She cocks her head to the side and wrinkles her face. I go through the whole story with her, from my date with Oliver yesterday, to getting to school this morning. Every minute of it. When I finish, Amber is also almost in tears, and she gives me a hug. Amber gives great hugs.

"I'll have to talk to my parents, but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to stay at my house until your parents come around."

"IF they come around, if."

I feel a buzz from my phone in my pocket, and pull it out to reveal a text from Oliver.

OLIVER: GOOOOOD MORNING! ARE YOU IN SCHOOL ALREADY?

ME: YEAH WHATS UP?

OLIVER: JUST WONDERING IF YOY WANTED TO PRACTICE IN THE THEATER. WE STILL HAVE ANOTHER HALF HOUR TIL SCHOOL STARTS.

ME: IM NOT IN THE MOOD RIGHT NOW, WANNA MEET ME IN THE LIBRARY? I NEED TO TALK TO YOU.

OLIVER: SURE

Moments later, Oliver is sitting next to me in the library, listening to my story. The story I'm getting tired of telling. He just listens blankly, taking in every word I'm saying. He also hugs me once I'm done. Oliver gives better hugs. I put my head on his chest, and I let out every emotion I've felt since last night. I'm crying more than I did last night.

At this point, I've attracted a small crowd of a few theater kids who came early to practice. They all comfort me even though they have no idea what happened. That's what I love about thespians. I could be crying because I was about to be caught by the police for murder and they would still comfort me.
