"Brooke?" Justin said, trying to get my attention back. I could only shutter at the thought of Shannon, my bully from the orphanage, was now at my new school and invading my new life as a Styles.
"Brooke!" I snapped out of my trance but not because of Justin, but because Shannon left the classroom. "Brooke, what was that about?"
"What was what about?" I say trying to get out of the subject. It didn't work.
"You were in some kind of trance." Justin pointed out. "Why were you staring at that girl?"
I take a deep breath and just when I'm about to tell the story of my life in the orphanage, the bell rings and the teacher gets up from her desk. "I'll tell you later." I whipered back Justin.
"Good morning class," said the teacher.
"Good morning Mrs. Johnson," the class said mumbling in gloom. I'm guessing because it's a school day and not to mention a Monday. No one likes Mondays.
"Oh," the teachers said towards me. "You must be the new student."
"Yes," I blush in embarrassment. I don't like the idea of being the new student in a school full of 2000 people. Not to mention that I'm the adopted daughter of Harry Styles!
I've only made one true friend. Even if we've only known each other for about 10 minutes. But there is just something about Justin that can make me give him my trust. And that's really hard to do. Considering that I was betrayed by someone that I thought I could give me trust to.
"What's your name darling?" Mrs. Johnson asked me.
"B-Brooke S-Styles." I don't know why I keep stuttering my name. I guess I'm afraid people judging me because of who my father is or because I was judged back at the orphanage while the orphans didn't even know me.
Being judged is my biggest fear.
Some students looked towards me in awe as if I was the Queen. Justin just patted my shoulder whispering to me "calm down." I hadn't noticed that my right hand was shacking so much.
"Oh," Mrs. Jackson says. "You're Harry Styles' daughter!"
"Yes." The students kept looking at me in awe. "Y-You're her?!" shouted a redheaded girl. Instead of saying yes I just nod. "Enough class," Mrs. Johnson yelped. "Just because her father is well known, she will revive no special treatment." And that's the way I wanted it.
English was a bore but of course I had to pay attention. I may be a bookworm, but I for one thought English was boring. Justin and I whispered to one another the entire time in class.
"....there will be no homework today." were the final words I heard from the teacher right before the bell rung. That pretty much made my morning.
I have French next.
Justin and I walked out the class together shoulder to shoulder. "What's your schedule?" Justin asked. I showed him my schedule; his face looked shocked. "You have almost every single class with me!"
"Really?" I shout.
"Yah! Well, everything except French but other then that we have everything together!"
"Awesome! What do you have now?"
"I have,"-he looks at his schedule-"Italian."
"Cool," I say. "I guess I'll see you in two periods?"
"What choice do I have? This is school!" I chuckle at his words. "See yah."
"Later, Brooke."
I rush towards my French class just making it inside before the bell rung.
