"So you're telling me that this is some demon that you guys have had problems with in the past? Shouldn't that make this easier?" I asked a bit confused.
We had a decided to go back to my place. I didn't want Mom to know and be worried before I understood it. And after Liv gave Veronique the tour, she wanted to know what happened, but I didn't tell her much. Luckily she had plans with a friend tonight.
Zak sighed. "Addeline, other than the age pattern of when these people died, we have nothing else that tells us it could be Zozo. And no, it doesn't make it easier."
"I don't get it. If you have dealt with it before, can't you deal with it now?"
"Addy," Jay said from behind me. "We weren't able to deal with it before. We only contacted it. And even that had it's affect on us."
"How real is it?" I asked, hoping that it wasn't too much, hoping that maybe this isn't as bad as I feel, that maybe it's something else.
"When we talked to the demonologist, he said that the more real people believe it to be, the more it keeps coming up, the more real it is. Addeline, something tells me that it's very real, and that it is what we're dealing with," Billy said, sounding sorry for me, yet for everyone there at the same time.
"At least part of it," Aaron mumbled looking at the ground. He then looked up at me, contemplation filling his face. "Addy, didn't you say that there were more than one?"
"Yah, but it seems like they are just there to make me more afraid. They are so small compared to the one," I said. "Why?"
"I need to make a call," Aaron said walking away, not answering me.
"Addeline, I think that maybe these other things that you are seeing, maybe it's just what Zo- the biggest one you see wants you to see," Billy said slowly, letting everyone try to absorb that.
"Why don't we all just admit it right now? Because I'm pretty damn sure that this is what we all think it is: Zozo," Nick said sounding a little irritated and annoyed.
"Nick, we don't know that for sure," Zak said stepping in front of me. "We still need to be open that it could be something else."
"Zak, quit bullshitting. We all can feel that's what it is and you know it. Pretending otherwise isn't going to protect her," he said, angrily jabbing a finger in my direction.
"Nick," Jay said placing a hand on his shoulder. "Why don't you get some air?" Nick shrugged Jay's hand off his shoulder and stomped through the house towards the front door.
"Is he going to be okay?" I asked my voice cracking a bit.
"Yah, this has nothing to do with you," Zak said wrapping his arms around me. "It's just what's happening right now. It's hard for him, well for all of us."
"But he is right, Zak," Billy said. "I can feel it just as much as he can. Its like we are in that house right now. The only thing is we didn't connect the peices."
"Guys, but what if it isn't? What if we just got a little spooked over some coincidental evidence?"
"Zak?" I said looking at him. "I think they are right."
"How?" he asked, sounding a little defeated.
"Because I have just realized something that I have never put together before."
"Hey," Aaron said walking back in. "I think that the other things Addy has seen are different versions of what people believe Zozo is."
"What?" Jay asked.
