The Author

Heart breaking

Lungs aching

A pain so bad

Only the experienced can understand

Silence drips from the walls

Emptiness echoes from within

A shattered heart

Wrapped in barbed wire

When friends transform

When enemies are shaped

A time of change

You can't comprehend

Each moment of broken trust

A dagger drawing crimson blood

You bleed in hope

You bleed for help

You bleed thinking of nothing else

All feelings are numb

There is nothing but heartbreak

And bitter distractions

Living with lids closed

A twinge in your heart

An ache in your chest

It is loneliness

Only a savior can fix

A brand new friend

A knight in shining armor

A hero you never knew

But it's hard to change

A story already written

Only the author can break the rubble

Clear the path

Move the rocks

Try finding the author

It's easier than you think

Just open your heart

And look inside
There you will find the ink
