Since that night at the party, much has happened.

Teddy Lupin started Hogwarts the following year, and after a gruelling from George Weasley, he was fully geared to becoming the prankster of his year. He was sorted into Hufflepuff like his mother.

The summer after the party, George and Charlie taught Victoire everything they knew to do with mischief. Much to her mother's dismay, Victoire-who now goes by the name Vic- had become a Weasley through and through.

A few years later, Victoire began to attend Hogwarts. No-one was surprised when she was placed in Gryffindor, she was a Weasley after all. Being in different houses, Vic did not see much of Teddy. They never spoke unless it was for a polite hello in the corridor.

This story takes places in the summer before Victoire's 5th year of Hogwarts.

July had just begun. Victoire and Dominique had been playing Quidditch in the garden, it was almost 30 degrees celsius and Shell Cottage had not seen a summer this hot in a long time.

"Honestly, Dominique, I don't know why you don't try out for the team. Jack McClaggen is an awful beater, you'd do much better." Victoire said, out of breath. She untied her long, blonde hair and shook it violently before shoving it back up into a ponytail.

"Beater is a boys position." Dominique sighed before slumping down onto the sofa.

"I'm a beater," Victoire said defensively "What are you trying to say?".

"Oh save it, Vic, you know what I mean." Dominique retaliated. Dominique looked in the mirror and saw that her dark blonde hair was becoming a bit greasy and her t-shirt was sticking to her back. "I'm going for a shower."

Victoire sighed "Fine."

Victoire sat upside down on the sofa and stared at her trainers. They were horribly muddy. "Victoire," she heard her mother call down the stairs "take your feet off ze sofa".

Victoire swung around again, how did she always know?

Summer was becoming very tedious, she longed to be back at school away from this impenetrable boredom. She longed to see her friends, Scarlet and Ingrid. They would cook up some adventure they could all go on, and she wouldn't have to be cooped up inside all the time. But for now she would have to be content with Quidditch and reading within the confines of the cottage.

As if he had read her mind, George Weasley apparated to the Cottage front door. He knocked to announce himself, as if the loud crack made by the apparition wasn't enough. Her father was at work, and her mother was upstairs, so Victoire answered the door.

"Vic, you are just the person I wanted to see." George said, grinning.

Victoire brought him into the house.

"So as you know, the joke shop is really doing well for business now. But I'm finding it difficult to manage it with the staff I have, which is mainly me and sometimes Ron on the weekends. And I was thinking of installing some part time workers, would you be interested?" he proposed, his eyes twinkling.

Victoire was entirely sure that she wanted to spend her summer working. But she could earn a few Galleons along the way, and it would get her away from that bloody cottage.

"Er, I guess so yeah" she said, returning his grin.

"Excellent. I'm going to go now and tell Teddy too," he said before walking back towards the door.

Victoire stopped.

"Teddy Lupin?" she asked suspiciously, she suspected he would be practising with his band in a garage somewhere.

"What other Teddy's do you know? You start tomorrow at 9. See you." George said before hurrying out the door, and with a crack, he disapparated. Great.

Victoire woke up the next morning a little bit frantic. What do you wear to work in a joke shop? In the end she decided on a plain black t-shirt, her ripped jeans, her dragonskin jacket (which was bewitched to grow as she did) and her white sneakers. She was travelling by floo powder, and Fleur wasn't pleased.

"Please do be careful Victoire" her mother said, handing her the pot of floo powder.

"I will mama, don't worry." Victoire said, while giving her a reassuring squeeze of her hand. Vic took the floo powder and stood in the fireplace.

"Diagon Alley!" she thundered as loudly and clearly as she could. Immediately she was spinning and swirling amongst branches of green flames that tickled her ankles and her neck. She arrived in The Leaky Cauldron, much to the surprise of an elderly witch who, upon sight of Victoire, spilled her pea soup. Victoire left the inn and headed towards the great orange shop that was notoriously Weasley Wizard Wheezes.

The shop didn't open until 9, and it was only quarter to, yet there were a few young wizards outside the shop, waiting for it to open. Victoire went around the back in search of a door, and she found a staircase that led up to a door on the second floor. She entered the second floor into a small kitchen, with counters and a fridge and a table and chairs. And on one of the chairs, with his feet up on the table, was a boy with blue hair. He wore a burgundy, plaid shirt and ripped jeans and navy sneakers, and Victoire noticed, he had the phases of the moon tattooed along his forearm. He had quite a bit of stubble and he was looking directly at her, with a lazy grin.

"Hey".
