Chapter 9: Mutual Midnight

Hogwarts drew near, and Teddy found himself not as excited as he usually was. He prayed Victoire wouldn't act different at school. But they were in different houses, they would surely drift.
He wondered if she shared his doubts.
The evening before he would start Hogwarts, Teddy and his grandmother were invited to the Potters for a farewell feast.

"So, will you miss Victoire?" Ginny said with a grin.
"Uh...Is this a trick question?" Teddy answered apprehensively.
"Yes definitely," Harry said with a smirk.
"Well I guess so..." Teddy said, he could tell he was blushing.
"Teddy, when are you going to marry Victoire?" Lily suddenly asked, genuine and curious, before taking a mouthful of mashed potatoes.
Teddy began to choke on his drink, he just hoped his hair was remaining an icy blue, as it had a tendency to change with his emotions.
Harry and James seemed to find this highly amusing, but Ginny shushed them, laughing herself. Teddy laughed sheepishly along with them.
"She's lucky to have a handsome lad like you Ted," Andromeda cooed, with a mocking pinch of his cheek.
"Um can we change the subject?"

That night he lay in bed, arms folded behind his head. He looked out the window to see it was a full moon. He always felt particularly moody around the time of the full moon, probably due to his dad's condition. The fact that things wouldn't be the same at Hogwarts was killing Teddy a bit inside.
He had just began to drift off to sleep when he heard a rap on his window.
He shot up, petrified, before he saw Victoire crouched at the window, in a camisole top and shorts and no shoes, broomstick in hand. She mouthed "let me in" so he went to the window and opened the latch. She fell in the window, seized him by the scruff of his shirt and began to kiss him passionately. He barely had time to breathe, let alone ask her what was going on. She kissed him hard and fast, she cupped his face in her hand and kissed every part of it before pushing him towards his bed.
They fell onto it with a clatter, but Teddy didn't care. She ran her hands wildly through his hair, and he ran his hands up and down her back.
Victoire reached down to the hem of Teddy's shirt and he sat up, so that she could swiftly pull it over his head. She pushed him back down onto the bed and kissed his chest. Then they heard Andromeda call from downstairs...
"Teddy?"
Victoire jumped up off the bed, and when Teddy tried to follow her, she just pushed him back down.
"Wait," Teddy called after her.
But she was out the window and airborne without a single word.
