a/n: major time skip to talledega race in october
McKayla's POV:
"Morning handsome," I say as Ryan sleepily trudges in the room. He smiles and sits down at the table with the kids. As I finished preparing breakfast, I jump at the feeling of the baby kicking wildly in my stomach. I place a hand on my stomach for a moment and the baby calmed down instantly. I was due in about a month, this would be my last time coming to the track. Doctors gave me strict orders, considering this is a high-risk pregnancy, not to fly even to Homestead. Which will suck not going especially if Ryan races for a championship.
I set breakfast on the table and went back to get ready for the day. I slipped on a plain long black sundress. I didn't do anything special, applied minimal makeup then tied up my hair in a ponytail.
"I've gotta get going to an appearance," Ryan says quickly changing into jeans and his Team Penske polo. "I'll be back in an hour."
"See you soon." I smiled as he kissed my cheek and headed out. I headed back out and hung out with the kids until Ryan got back. I got the kids busy drawing and doing crafts with Summerlyn and Briella when Ryan and Bubba came walking in.
"Uncle Bubba!" The kids erupted.
"Hey guys." He smiles. "Whatcha making?" He questions looking over their shoulders. As he interacts with the kids, Ryan walks up to me sliding his arm around my waist.
"How was your appearance?" I asked looking up at him.
"Interesting to say the least." He says kinda chuckling.
"Do I even wanna ask?"
"Probably not, but I'm gonna tell you anyway." Bubba laughs. "This older lady walks up and asks him to sign her the upper part of her chest." He bursts out to fits of laugher. "You should've seen his face. It was priceless!"
"It was gross that's what it was." Ryan rolls his eyes.
"Well, they don't call you the ladies man for nothing." Peyton comments. We all gasp but ended up laughing our heads off at her remark.
"Honey don't say that," Ryan says on the flooring trying to recover from laughing. "Help me up sweetheart."
"Sorry, I can't lift anything more than ten pounds."
"You calling me fat?"
"You're in a house full of sassy girls, I feel for ya bud," Bubba comments filming Ryan.
"And about to get another one," Ryan says wide eyes pointing to my stomach. I glared up at him. "Never a dull moment in the Blaney motor home," Ryan says looking a the camera giving a thumbs up and a cheesy smile. I roll my eyes again before Bubba could end the video.
"Ah, that's a keeper," Bubba says wiping a few tears away.
@nascar: just a couple of championship contenders talking strategy. Will @blaney and @chaseelliott work together today 🤔
