Amaya's POV
Nemesis-kun left after the bell rang. I always wonder where he disappeared off to. My attention in class was very lacking since I was thinking of more excuses to say to Yan-kun and Ayano.
I was running out of ideas and sooner or later, they're gonna find out about me and Nemesis-kun.
When lunchtime came around, I tried looking for my brother and sister. Then again, if they're with their lovers, I shouldn't bother them and let them be happy.
Maybe I'll text Nemesis-kun and ask him to meet with me for lunch. I ran down the hall with my phone in my face as I turned the corner.
When I did, I bumped into someone, bringing both of us to the floor. "Ow..." I mumbled as I rubbed my head. I sat up and looked down to see that I had bumped into him.
I was on top of him as he was staring at me with a blush.
"I-I'm sorry!" He quickly apologized. "What are you apologizing for? I'm the one who bumped into you, so I should be apologizing," I stated. "Are you hurt? Here, let me give you a hand."
I stood up and grabbed his hand, helping him to his feet. "T-Thank you." Oko said, shyly. "No problem. I didn't hurt you when I rammed into you, did I?" I asked.
"N-No, I-I'm fine." He answered. "That's good. Well, see you around," I walked past him, but stopped myself when a thought came to mind. I turned around and faced Oko.
"Hey, Oko. Would you happen to know anything about magic? Black magic, to be precise?" I asked.
"B-Black magic?" He repeated. "Yes." I answered with a nod. "U-Uh... Well... Excuse me, I have to go!" Oko gave a quick bow, then ran off.
I raised a brow as I watched him run off. "That was kind of rude. He didn't even answer my question." I said to myself.
Then again, he's pretty shy, so I guess he can't help himself.
"What was that about?"
"Ahh!"
I turned around and sighed as it was just Yan-kun. "You scared me." I stated. "Sorry. So, what was that about?" He repeated.
"Nothing. What are you doing here? I thought you were Taro?" I asked. "I was. He thought it'd be a good idea if we went on a lunch date with Ayano and Budo." Yan-kun explained.
"So, it'd be like a double date?"
"Exactly. Why don't you come with us?"
"No, thanks. I don't wanna become a third wheel."
"Nonsense. You can bring your secret Senpai along."
"He wouldn't be interested. I think I'm just gonna head home early today. I'm not feeling very well," I lied. "Could you tell Ms. Rino that I'll be out for the rest of class?"
"Sure thing. I'll be sure to inform Ayano, too. Give me a call the minute you get home, okay?" Yan-kun said.
"I will." I said, then left the school. I went to my locker to change my shoes, then texted Nemesis-kun to meet me at my house, telling him to come in through the back door.
"Hi, Amaya!" Hanakõ greeted, happily. "Hey, Hanakõ." I greeted back in an emotionless tone. "What are you doing? "Are you leaving in the middle of the day? Where are you going?" He asked.
"Home. I'm not feeling well." I lied in an emotionless tone while closing my locker.
"Oh-no! That's terrible! You're not coming down with a fever, are you?" He asked, worriedly. "I'll take you to the infirmary!"
"Hanakõ, that's really not necessary. I think I just need to go home and lie down for a bit. But thanks for thinking of me." I said
Hanakõ blushed with a smile. "Anytime! I care about you like you're my own flesh and blood!" He said. "That's sweet," I said with a fake smile.
'Even though he doesn't know me all that well.'
"I've gotta go. Say hello to your brother and sister for me." I said before walking away. "Okay! I hope you feel better soon!" Hanakõ called, in which I gave him a small wave.
When I got home, I went to call Yan-kun until my eyes averted to the basement door.
I remember how I would help Ayano and Yan-kun kidnap girls and torture them to the point they were their Mind Slaves.
I went downstairs to the basement and saw the old chair sitting in the middle of the room. It's served its purpose well.
Now, it's just collecting dust. I doubt it'll ever be used again. "Huh?" I spotted a tape near the corner of the room, so I went over to it and picked it up.
"I don't remember this being down here." I mumbled. Wonder what's on it? I went upstairs to my room and sat on my bed before playing the dusty tape.
"What was that all about?" I mumbled. I hid the tape in my desk drawer, then called Yan-kun to inform that I made it home safe and sound, and that I was gonna lie down for a bit.
When I hung up, a pair of arms wrapped themselves around my waist.
"Lying to your brother just so you could spend time with your lover? You're a bad girl, Amaya." Nemesis-kun teased with a smirk.
"Then, maybe you should punish me." I suggested with a smirk. I turned around and kissed him as my arms wrapped around his neck.
He gently pushed me down on the couch without breaking the kiss and slid his tongue into my mouth.
Before anything else could happen, the annoying ring from my phone occurred, informing me I got a text message.
"Who's that?" Nemesis-kun asked as he kissed my cheek. "It's probably Yan-kun or Ayano." I said before capturing his lips in mine once more.
Even though I was enjoying myself, I couldn't get the tape out of my mind. What did it mean, and why was it there?
