Amaya's POV

"I honestly don't see why you couldn't introduce him sooner, Amaya," Yan-kun said as me, him, and Ayano walked to school.

"Sure, he looks like a killer from a distance, but up close... Mmm... I'd keep him in bed all day."

"Stop it, Yan-kun!" I said, pressing my hands against his mouth. "Seriously, Yan-kun. You've got Taro, so stop fantasizing about Amaya's boyfriend." Ayano said.

"I can't help it. He's really-"

"If you say one more word, I'll sew your lips together." I threatened. "Okay, okay. Backing off." He said. I rolled my eyes as we walked to our lockers, then changed our shoes.

We had a few minutes before the bell rang, so Yan-kun and Ayano left to spend time with their lovers. I decided to text Nemesis-kun, but he wasn't responding.

'Strange. Where is he?' I thought as I sent him another text. As the bell rang, I put my phone away and decided to head to class.

As I walked past classrooms, I noticed some of them have already started. I stopped when I saw Nemesis-kun in one of those classrooms.

What the hell?! I looked through the window again to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me. And sure enough, they weren't.

Nemesis was there in a male's school uniform. He stood in front of the class, probably introducing himself.

What in the world is he doing at the school?! And when did he enroll?!

(Lunchtime)

When the bell rang for lunch, I ran down the hall to meet up with Nemesis-kun. As he turned around, I jumped on him and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"You didn't tell me you've enrolled to Akademi High." I said. "Aw, you already found out? I wanted to surprise you." Nemesis-kun pouted, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Well, I'm definitely surprised. What made you want to enroll?" I asked. "I wanted to spend more time with you." Nemesis-kun said.

"Aw, you're so sweet." I replied, then kissed his cheek. He took a hold of my chin and pressed his lips against mine, in which I closed my eyes and kissed him back.

"Why don't you guys save it for dessert?" Yan-kun teased, making Nemesis-kun and I pull away from each other. "Cut it out. I think it's cute," Ayano said.

"Anyway, we're thinking of having another lunch date with Taro and Budo. Why don't you come this time, and bring Nemesis-kun?" Yan-kun suggested while winking at Nemesis-kun.

"Don't make me poke your eye out, Yan-kun." I threatened. "I think that's a great idea." Nemesis-kun agreed. "Perfect, let's go." Ayano said, leading the way.

"So, Nemesis-kun, do you still hunt?" Yan-kun asked. "Um, a little." He answered.

"People or animals?"

"People."

"Do you do it for money?"

"No."

"Oh, so it's a hobby?"

"Not exactly."

"Ah, so you're like a bounty hunter, but don't do it for the money? Sounds like a lousy job."

"It's just something I do."

We rendezvoused with Taro and Budo, who were waiting for us by Taro's homeroom. "Budo, Taro. This is Nemesis-kun, Amaya's boyfriend." Yan-kun introduced.

"Hey." Budo greeted.

"Nice to meet cha." Taro said.

"Likewise." Nemesis-kun replied, shaking both of their hands. We had lunch together, just chatting away about stuff.

It was nice to spend time with both my lover and my siblings. It made me feel happy.

*****

"See? That wasn't so bad. We should have lunch dates more often." Yan-kun said as we walked back to class. "How about once a week? Doing it everyday just seems a little tiring." I suggested.

"I'm with Amaya on that one." Ayano agreed. "Okay, okay. Majority rule." Yan-kun said. When we got back to class, Professor Rino resumed the lesson.

But I was hardly paying attention to her because of the tape I found in the basement. It had me wondering if Dad was terrified of Mom.

They seemed really happy when I was little, but after listening to that tape, it sounded like Mom and Dad didn't meet like I thought they did.

What else is Mom hiding?

"Amaya Aishi!"

I quickly lifted my head and looked at the professor. "Did you hear me, Amaya?" She asked. "No. Sorry." I apologized.

"Well, maybe if you weren't busy daydreaming, you would have." Professor Rino said, making the classroom snicker.

"Yes, ma'am." I said. She resumed the lesson until it was the end of the day. "Work on your assignments tonight. And remember, you all have a quiz on Monday." Rino reminded.

I packed up my stuff and headed down the hall to meet Nemesis-kun so we could walk home together. As I was about to turn the corner, I saw him talking with Musume.

I hid behind the corner and watched the conversation. I frowned when I saw Musume give Nemesis-kun a small slip of paper. Her phone number maybe?

Nemesis-kun accepted it and she smiled at him. A sting of jealousy stabbed my chest as I watched the whole thing.

Since when was Musume interested in guys like Nemesis-kun? The feeling of jealousy slowly went away when Nemesis-kun returned the slip of paper.

As he walked away, Musume frowned at him before stomping off. "Hey." Nemesis-kun greeted when he spotted me.

"Hi," I greeted back. "Ayano and Yan-kun won't be home until later on tonight. You wanna watch a movie with tonight?"

"Sure." He agreed with a smile. We walked out of the school as the image of him and Musume replayed in my mind.

Should I ask him about Musume? No, I probably shouldn't. I don't want to start an argument with him. It's nothing. After all, Nemesis-kun rejected her. I'm worrying myself for nothing.

Or am I?
