(After school)

I was in the Student Council, serving tea and other drinks to everyone. I was a little upset that I couldn't spend time with Nemesis-kun.

But at least we were able to have our little "alone time" in the locker room. A blush made its way across my cheeks as the memory was fresh in my brain.

"Amaya, did you hear me?" Kuroko asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.. "I'm sorry, what did you say?" I asked.

"I said, when you're finished sweeping, take the trash out to the incinerator." She repeated. "Right. Sorry." I said. I finished sweeping the floor, then took the trash out.

As I was walking back, I noticed Oko reading a book in the middle of the Occult Room. He was the only one there and it looked rather lonely as his back was facing me.

I went inside, deciding to check on him. "Are you okay, Oko?" I asked. He flinched and turned his head to look at me. "Sorry. You startled me." He said.

"My bad," I apologized. "Where's your sister?"

"She went home early. We tried summoning a demon earlier today, but we didn't succeed, so she decided to disband the club early." Oko explained.

"I'm sorry to hear that," I said. "How is the black magic thing going, by the way?"

"M-My powers... I'm getting a better handle on them." He mentioned. "That's good to hear. But why do you look so sad?" I wondered.

"I... I was just thinking about something."

"Like what?"

"My sister... She talks nonstop about Taro, even though he's dating your brother. And I can't help but notice how happy they look together, so..."

"So..?"

"Why can't I ever be that happy? When will I find my angel? Will she pull me out of this dark place? Will I ever find light?"

'Aw... Poor Oko.' I thought. "Your angel is out there somewhere, Oko. You just need to have patience. She'll come to you soon." I assured him.

"I don't know... This world is a dark place and filled with evil beings. My angel won't set foot on this land as long as demons are roaming the area." Oko denied.

"Nonsense. With your powers, you'll be able to get rid of the demons and your angel will purify this school." I said while placing my hand on his shoulder, trying to make him feel better.

Oko looked at me and blushed slightly before turning his away, avoiding eye contact with me. "Amaya... If my angel never comes... w-will you be my angel?" He asked.

"Your angel?" I repeated. "You're the only girl, besides my sister and the Occult Club members, to ever approach me and not make fun of me," He said.

"Whenever you're around me, I get this warm feeling inside. To make my loneliness go away, you must be an angel that's descended from the heavens."

I giggled slightly. "I'm no angel, Oko. I'm just a regular high school student that goes to Akademi. Just like you," I stated. "But I'm sure your angel will find you soon,"

I placed my hand on his cheek and gave him a reassuring smile. "I've gotta go." I informed.

As I turned to leave, Oko suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him, hugging me close to his chest.

I glanced up at Oko to see him blushing softly, his eyes closed. 'If he wanted a hug, all he had to do was ask,' I thought. 'Maybe he was afraid I'd refuse.'

After a few more seconds, he let go of me. "T-Thank you for letting me do that." He said, shyly.

"No problem. Goodbye, Oko." I said before leaving. I went back to the Student Council and closed the door behind me.

"What took you so long?" Aoi asked with a frown. "I was just taking a walk." I lied. I grabbed a rag and began to wipe down the table.
