"When do we start club activities?" I asked Oka.

"The moon is not in position yet... Come back between 5:00 and 5:30..." She said in her shy tone.

I shrugged my shoulders, then asked Oko to follow me outside the club so I could talk to him in private. "Oko, do you think you can cast a spell on someone for me?" I asked.

"W-What? You mean like... cast a hex upon someone? I-I've never... done something like that before." Oko admitted while holding his book to his chest with one arm. "But you can try, can't you?" I asked.

"I-I... I'm not sure. I d-d-don't think I'm supposed t-to tamper with the balance of magic. It's dangerous. Magic is something n-not to be taken for granted." He mentioned.

"I understand that, but it's just this once. Could you do this for me? It's important." I pleaded. "What kind of spell are you trying to cast?" Oko asked.

"It's... kind of personal." I said while rubbing the back of my neck. 'A love spell to make Nemesis-kun forgive me and love me again.' I confessed in my head.

"I-I-I can't use my magic for personal gain. I'm sorry..." He stated while stuttering. "I understand. Sorry for bothering you." I said, leaving to the workshop once again.

Nemesis-kun's POV

Knock, knock, knock

I went over to the door and opened it to reveal Yan-kun. "Yan-kun." I stated while acknowledging his appearance. "We need to talk." He said.

He stared at me with a slight frown until I hesitantly let him into my home. "Nice place. I can see why Amaya came over here so often." Yan-kun said as if it were a joke.

"What do you want?" I asked, impatiently. "I told you, we need to talk." He said, glancing at me from the corner of his eye.

"About what?"

"Amaya."

"What about her?"

"Why did you guys break up?"

"She didn't tell you?"

"No, so I'd thought I'd hear your side of the story."

"I broke up with her because she kidnapped me."

"Say what?"

"She kidnapped me and kept me locked in her house against my will. Another reason is because she was behind the deaths of Efude and Uekiya. Not to mention, Musume."

Yan-kun sighed. "You dumbass." He mumbled. "Excuse me?" I asked.

"You seriously don't get it, do you?" Yan-kun mentioned. "Everything Amaya did, she did it for you. She did it because she loved you."

"Amaya didn't have to kill." I stated. I gasped when I suddenly felt arms around my neck, in a chokehold. When did Yan-kun even get behind me?

"You should be grateful, you fucking shit-bird. All those girls liked you for your looks. But Amaya liked you for who you are. I bet you would do the same for my sister if you loved her more than anything. I bet you'd even kill for her." Yan-kun said, coldly as his hold got tighter.

Well, I did threaten Osano to stay away from her, but that's a completely different story. I didn't kill him.

Yan-kun let me go when my face began to turn red from lack of oxygen, and I fell to my hands and knees, coughing and gasping for air.

"Listen, Amaya is more broken than you think."

I rubbed my neck and looked back at him with a frown. "What do you mean?"

"My sisters and I had to pretend to be normal around others so they could like us. But it was worse for Amaya." Yan-kun explained. "Worse?" I repeated.

"Amaya was an easier target for bullies, even at high school. While Ayano and I were competing for Taro's heart, the students of Akademi picked on her and made fun of her. But she didn't care. She said once she found her special one, she'll finally be happy. That special one was you, Nemesis-kun. You meant the world to her, and you broke her heart," He explained.

"Amaya would do anything for you. Sure, she killed for you. But don't you realize it took her that much to clarify that she loved you with all her heart? She's even willing to take a bullet for you. That's how much she loves you, you know? And I can't believe you just ultimately stopped loving her after that."

"I... had no idea how much pain she was in..." I mumbled. "Why didn't she tell me any of this?"

"Duh. Because it's embarrassing. Would you ever reveal something so embarrassing about yourself?" Yan-kun stated.

"This isn't how the story ends!"

Amaya's words rang in my ears as she remember her yelling that while pulling at her hair.

"So, that's what she meant. Amaya just wanted her happy ending, and I gave her a bad ending. Now she's even more broken, and it's all my fault." I said with guilt.

"You still have a chance to fix this, Nemesis-kun. You can still rewrite this story." Yan-kun replied.

"How? I've seen how much time she's spent with Borupen, and I see the way she looks at him. She's moved on."

"Idiot. No, she hasn't."

"What?"

"Amaya still loves. She'll always love you."

Still on my hands and knees, I lowered my head so I was staring at the floor. "I... never stopped loving Amaya. I was just so angry, my emotions spoke for me. Can I really make things right?"

"Of course you can. It's not too late to change the story. Just remember what I said." Yan-kun replied. He turned around and let himself out of the house.

"Amaya... If only I realized how much you were hurting..." I whispered. "I'm so sorry..."
