~Thursday, July 3rd, 2003: Day 19~

Josh's POV

Today was moving day, meaning just clothes and anything that is ours and not any furniture since the studio was completely furnished. We toured it yesterday after Mat forced me to sleep, which made me miss 2 days of spending time with him or anyone. I woke up early to actually eat since I was moving things today so I needed the energy and strength to help out, even though it wasn't a lot. Matt jumped onto my back, hugging me tightly.

"We are moving today!" Matt sang as I spun him around on me, avoiding the counters and accidentally causing a mess everywhere. We both laugh and smile, leading me to fall on my ass, lightly crushing Matt behind me. He tries to push me off but I start joking around and playing with him.

"This is the lumpiest mat I have ever felt under me! Mrs. Webb, did you sweep something under the rug?" Jokingly stated, making everyone laugh throughout the room. I eventually got off Matt as he sat on his knees, hugging me from behind and making me tilt my head back to give him a lame spiderman kiss.

"Alright boys, you better start packing if you want to get settled before it gets dark."Matt's mom beamed towards us, still laughing a little. We got up as I grabbed a coffee to keep myself awake for the day. Matt grabs himself some cereal as I start to head upstairs to help pack his things up first cause he had more stuff than I did.

~later that day~

Matt's POV

This was it. Josh and I were moving in together and I was moving out of my parent's house. I guess this what adulting is. Josh had slammed the trunk to my car shut as I was giving away hugs to my parents while Amanda was being sick again for the billionth time this past week or so. Josh came up and hugged everyone as well, taking my hand gently and heading towards the car as Josh opened my door for me.

"M'lady," He was being very courteous to me. I give him a prince bow as I stepped into the car and closing the door behind me. He walks away from the door to get in on his side as I wave out the window towards the house. With my parents waving back at us, we drive away slowly as I ride the wind out my window. Josh drives with his hand, trembling hardly on my knee. Must be the coffee earlier. I try to think nothing of it as the car comes to a stop in front of our new temporary apartment complex.

"Ready for this?" I ask, looking at him. He looked out his window, his hand supporting his head while the other fidgeting with his keychain that was still in the ignition. Gently holding his hand, stopping the tremors got his attention, making him glance over with an innocent look wiping across his face.

Josh's POV

The feeling of anxiety filled me slowly. I could barely hear what Matt asked me before he grabbed my shaking handoff from my keychain. I felt like crying for a short moment because I knew that everything I was hiding from Matt was no longer going to be a secret, he was gonna find out and be so disappointed in me. I could feel my eyes widen slightly, resembling an innocent look. It was me trying to cry in front of Matt again.

"You ready for this?" He repeated himself to make sure I heard him, but all I could do was a nod. I couldn't even speak without sounding upset or bursting into tears. I couldn't break his heart again. I get out of my side and grab two of the five suitcases and head towards the building, opening the door with the key and holding it for Matt as he got two more.

"I'll come out and get the last one." I managed to get out in a normal tone. Matt smiles and kisses my lips as he walks past me, closing the door behind us as I helped him into the elevator. Heading back out to the car, I sat in the driver's side with the door open, wanting a smoke desperately but knowing I didn't have any. All I could do is scratch my wrists as I put my hands on the steering wheel at the 10 and 2 positions, banging my head a few times while beeping the horn shortly with each one. I finally stepped out of my depressed state, got out, grabbing the last suitcase and heading back inside. Riding the elevation alone gave me a quiet mind, nothing to be thought, nobody to listen to, complete emptiness. The doors open up, walking out and down the hall to see our apartment door open, stepping inside and locking the door behind me. We now lived in the nicer part of town so we had a slightly bigger place but a small basement which was mostly for equipment storage. Carrying the suitcase up the stairs felt like I was lifting a 100 lbs weight around my leg, just struggling to get up the stairs and dragging my feet with each step. Eventually getting to the top to see Matt checking the fridge. "Not much choice for dinner, how about we order in and watch a movie together?' Matt asked.

"That seems good to me," I responded with a fake smile slapped across my face.

~Thursday, July 10th, 2003: Day 26~

Matt's POV

"Matty, where is yous mister?" Conner, one of the daycare kids came up to me as I was cleaning up a bunch of toys left out. I didn't really think about it too much since I knew he would come eventually.

"I'm not sure Conner, We'll just have to wait," I answered as I stand up from the ground. Josh had started coming to visit me at work since he managed his work better and because he didn't want to be bored at home. It has been about a week since we moved and Josh had started getting better at keeping himself motivated to do anything.

"Josh Ramsay to see Matt Webb," A familiar voice was heard from around the corner. The kids enjoyed seeing Josh, even though he wasn't fond of the attention of small kids four feet or shorter, but it was nice of him to visit me, sometimes with lunch or a coffee. Today it was just himself. He walks from around the corner as the kids start running towards him, hugging his legs and nearly making him fall over. "Alright, what did Matty tell you to do to me?" He joked with them, making them laugh and smile as they slowly disperse, allowing me to come over and hug him. The kids knew I liked him more than a friend and they all adore him but think it's one hundred percent normal, which is super sweet of them. "How's your day so far?" Josh askes me, keeping a lookout for any more kids that may attack him.

"Better now that you are here." I chuckled slightly. "The kids love you, no matter what I tell them. They will attack you every time."

"They are little terrors to me. They are way too short for me!" He stated, making me smile. "Anyways, I was wondering if you wanted a date night tonight, dinner and movie?" Josh added. I knew he was motivated but I didn't know he was this motivated.

"Who are you and what have you done with my mister?" Joking around, making Josh roll his eyes at me. "I would love to, I get off at three." I always wanted a planned date night for me without me knowing about it.  Josh smiles as he kisses me on the lips with the kids jokingly acting disgusting as we both roll our eyes at them.
