ch. 1

"Sydney, you said you would be ready by 12. it's 2!" My best friend Briana said walking into my room. I sighed zipping up my suitcase for the final time.

"Okay okay im ready this time." she rolled her eyes and helped me take my bag to the car. Today a couple of friends and I were leaving to Houston for a week long vacation. After graduating from college we all felt like we were in desperate need of a vacation. Houston was one of my favorite cities in Texas and its always been a place i would like to live. Once my bags were in the car and I gave a final kiss to my dog, pops, and we were on our way.

"Okay so let's start planning. what is in the agenda today?" My friend Gabby said with her notes open on her phone. Gabby was very organized and always ahead of the schedule which is one of the things I liked about her. This trip was a way for her to get her mind off her recent break up. She's been at a really tough place but I am determined to make it a trip to remember.

After throwing ideas around Briana came up with something we all agreed on. "I think we should go to the hotel and get ready to go out for the night." I was excited to finally get out. School has always been my main priority but now that it's over I am letting myself relax and let lose. Maybe I will even find a reason to stay in Houston.
