Last night was a mess. When we got back to the hotel room, Gabby continued crying until she fell asleep. Briana and I stayed up about another hour just talking.

"I'm honestly gonna kill her, I pretty much babysat her the whole night." Briana said looking over at Gabby. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair.

I was so frustrated with the whole situation. Alex seemed like a really nice guy and I just left him there, no number no anything. Now I may never see him again.

-

I was awoken by the beaming sunlight shining through the window. I guess after all the gossiping last night Briana and I both forgot to close the curtains.

"My head is pounding," Gabby said sitting up holding her head. I turned over and saw that Briana was pretending to sleep by the way she shook her head. She clearly wasn't ready to deal with hungover Gabby just yet.

"I hope you had a great night because I didn't." I said getting up and walking towards my bag. I grabbed my toiletries and headed to the bathroom to do my morning routine. While brushing my teeth I scrolled through my instagram, liking some posts. A reminder popped up on my phone that we were supposed to go to the Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees game today at 3:30pm and it was already noon.

"Alright girlies, I don't know about y'all but I'm gonna get ready to go watch some baseball." I said going through my suitcase once again, this time I grabbed a plain white t-shirt with bluejeans and white converse. I looked over at the girls who just looked at me in a daze.

"Did y'all not hear me? We bought tickets to go to this game!" Gabby stretched and made her way to the bathroom. Briana also got up and began looking through her suitcase.

I was actually really excited for the game. It was going to be my first major league game so I was hoping for the best.

-

"You can go ahead and drop us off here." Briana instructed the Uber driver as we approached one of the entrances to the ballpark. We piled out onto the sidewalk and began to walk towards the line. We finally made it to the front of the line and I could already hear the thousands of fans cheering.

"I'm gonna be honest with y'all, I wasn't all that excited for this game now I can't wait to see these baseball boys." Gabby said snapping a picture of the art that was all over the walls of the park.

The first pit stop we made was to the concession stand because we all had barely ate anything today. The line took forever but once we got all our snacks we began to search for our seats.

I checked the tickets and slowly guided us to our section. When we found it we were surprised at how great the view was. We sat down and got comfortable before anything major started happening.

I was scrolling through Instagram when Briana grabbed ahold of me.

"Wait, Sydney, is that-?" Briana said looking at the big screen. I turned to see the man I had been talking to in the club the night before. The image of him in an Astros jersey with the name "Bregman" and a big number 2 pasted on the back.

"No way. There's no way." I was in shock. The guy that I basically left stranded the night before was a major league baseball player. For some reason I was nervous and also embarrassed. I had told him so much yesterday he probably wouldn't even want to talk to someone like me again.

"OMG! We're gonna have to get his attention after the game this isn't a coincidence, it's FATE!" Gabby said being her usual dramatic self. I chuckled "Gabby chill. We talked for a night he probably doesn't even remember what I look like." I said trying to cover up how shocked I was.

Some of the players started to come out of the dugout to start warming up and every player that came out made me more anxious. What if he sees me? Will he even remember me? Will he act like he doesn't know me? All these question were floating through my head when the people in front of me stood up.

"ALEX! HEY, CAN YOU SIGN THIS?! BREGMAN!" I sat frozen. Should I go and see if I can get his attention? It would be stupid of me to assume that I would be the only thing he was thinking about or that he would even remember me. The girls encouraged me to at least try but if it was really "fate" then we would find a way to get each others attention by the end of the game.
