We walked into our hotel room a bit exhausted. We were all still getting over our hang over and we had been out for most of the day but I was still kind of excited to see Alex later on tonight. I still hadn't texted him because I wanted to give him time to change and relax after the game.
"Alright can we all agree that Jake guy was soooooo hot." Gabby said flopping into the bed. She was always the one to point out if someone was good looking.
"Yeah he was." Bri said scrolling on her phone. I still hadn't texted Alex because I really didn't know what to say. I overthink EVERYTHING. I don't want to sound too excited but I dont want to seem like I dont care. I finally type out a simple message that said "Hey! It's Sydney :)" He almost instantly replied which made me relieved.
After I got the address I took that as my time to start getting ready.

After taking a nap and taking our time to get glammed, we were ready to go. Alex told me it was gonna be a celebration party so we would be able to have fun. I was hoping somewhere in the night we would be able to get alone time to talk a little more.
The girls and I went to have a quick dinner and took some pictures for Instagram before heading almost half way across town to Alex's house. The drive was pretty nice. We basically got to see the whole city and it was beautiful.
The uber pulled up to a big two story house. There was cars lined all down the street and here I was thinking it was only going to be a small get together. We walk up the driveway and already see a bunch of unfamiliar faces. I was start to feel very out of my element but I put on a brave face.
"This house is huge." Gabby said looking around. There were pictures along the walls of Alex on the field and different kinds of paintings. We made our way through the crowded living room and made our way to the back yard where I recognized some of the Astros players.
"LADIES, YOU MADE IT!" We turned around to see Jake walking towards us with drinks in both hands. Gabby smiled wide and said, "yes we did!"
"Well that's great. There's drinks in the kitchen. Let me find Alex so I can let him know y'all made it." With that said he walked right by us and went on his way.
"Well I don't know about y'all but I need a drink." Bri said grabbing my arm and walking inside. We got our drinks and stood in the kitchen talking. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I tensed up and turned around slowly.
"Oh my gosh you scared me." I said face to face with Alex. He was wearing a plain black t-shirt with black jeans and was looking really really handsome.
"Oh hey Alex! You're house is amazing!" Gabby said smiling at Alex.
Alex smiled, "Thanks. Y'all mind if I steal this one away for a bit?" He said nodding in my direction. Both girls shook their heads and Alex grabbed my hand and led me back outside.
He led me to a sitting area that was empty and we sat down. I don't know why I felt a little nervous it might be because I just found out he is kinda famous but I know I shouldn't let that bother me. We sat there for a second just looking around at everyone and I was looking out at the view. Houston was a really nice city, even from afar.
"So is this a little weird?" Alex said taking a sip of his beer.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean I'm sure when we met the other night this wasn't you're first thought about me." I mean he was right it wasn't it wasn't my first thought but it wasn't really weird.
"No it did take me a little off guard when I showed up to the game and see your face on the big screen." We both laughed. He had a really sweet laugh.
"I'm gonna be honest. I was a little disappointed in myself the other night when I didn't ask for your number. I was very off my game." He said with a laugh, looking at his feet nervously.
"Yeah sorry about that we kind ran off." I said still looking over at him.
"I get it. So I remember you said you're from Corpus right?" I nodded.
"Well I actually played a few years down there with the Hooks."
"Wait really? My dad used to take me to games when I was younger!" The fact that he knew a little bit of where I grew up was crazy. We spent a little while talking about our childhood and him and his baseball career.
"So what about you, what are you doing?" He asked leaning back in his seat.
"Well I actually just graduated from college with my business degree." I said sounding a little proud of myself only because I was pretty proud. It took a lot for me to finish and when I did it was the best feeling.
He was about to start saying something when Bri came up to us looking a little annoyed. She threw herself in the chair across from us.
"You're teammate really has a way with words." Bri said to Alex tilting her head towards Jake and Gabby who were looking very cozy in the kitchen. Alex chuckled and said, "Yeah he tends to."

It was getting pretty late and pretty much everyone was starting to head out. Alex and I had talked and had a bunch of drinks pretty much all night. I was feeling a little tipsy and I could tell Alex was too. Bri had been texting me that she was ready to go but I wasn't quite ready to leave. My phone buzzed once more and I decided it would be best for us to head back to the hotel.
"It's getting late." I said laying my head on my arm.
"Is it? I couldn't tell." I chuckled and he smiled.
"Yeah I should probably start heading to bed I have a early game tomorrow anyways." We both stood up and headed inside to find the girls. I found Bri asleep on a chair and Jake and Gabby were asleep on a couch. After struggling to wake them up they finally got up and Bri ordered an Uber.
"I had a really fun time tonight." I say to Alex as we waited for my Uber.
"Even though I just talked your ear off the whole night?" He said laughing.
"It's okay I gave you an ear full also." The uber pulled up and I turned back to him.
"Well I guess I'll see you later?"
"Soon. We'll see each other soon." He said with a smirk. I smiled and went to give him a hug. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close. It felt so comfortable. I pulled away and he held onto my hand for while before I finally walked toward the car.

Sorry for not updating I really didn't think this story was going anywhere but I see views and now I'm like "I need to pay more attention to this story" but yeah I hope y'all like this chapter :)
