"Meliodas, are you there?" A soft voice asked through Meliodas' earpiece. He pressed on the device to hear the person clearer, "I am, King."

Meliodas was on the rooftop of the building next to the Haven Hotel. It was two stories taller than the hotel, so he had a wide view from the top. He saw Elizabeth arrive in a black car an hour ago, and he'd been waiting in the cold with his rifle ready to shoot when the time came for him to hit.

As much as he enjoyed being on missions, he hated it whenever he had to wait. He didn't have the best patience and waiting out like this wasn't his cup of tea. He would rather just enter the hotel and start shooting until he gets to Elizabeth.

He sighed, looking at the scope for the nth time of the night. It was getting annoying because Elizabeth was never alone whenever she was in view. He saw that Elizabeth was in a business meeting; he guessed it was about ARC, where they discussed her taking over.

It made him think, Elizabeth's been his classmate for years and he noticed nothing odd about her. She always seemed to be a normal student along with the others in his school. He noticed no type of killing intent from her; she didn't look like it. They even had this unlabeled friendship for a few months now, and it wasn't acknowledged until today.

All good things end, I guess. Even though it's only been a day.

He watched Elizabeth interact with her higher-ups. She seemed to be professional, and he's never seen her in a serious facial expression before. It was a sight to see, but sadly, it would be the last time.

He examined her. She was beautiful, her eyes sparkled, her hair shone, her body was perfect, and if she just wasn't a threat to his organization, maybe he would let himself like her at some point. But he knew that she was unattainable.

He guessed that if she had the same mission to eliminate him, she would do it in a heartbeat. They were the same and in the worst way possible.

He took another look through the scope. Finally, Elizabeth was alone and was standing on the balcony alone, he assumed to take a breather. A devilish smirk formed on Meliodas' lips, his finger on the trigger, ready to pull.

"See you in hell, Elizabeth."

Hey! You're all alone again! My name's Elizabeth, what about you?

He stared at Elizabeth, concentrating before he was about to pull the trigger, but his eyes widened when Elizabeth's eyes that were looking straight ahead from her perspective shifted to looking right at Meliodas like she knew he was there.

That made Meliodas pull the trigger.

The name's [ ]~

Meliodas flinched in surprise with the sudden memory, making him miss, "shit." He grabbed the rifle and sprinted down the stairs, "King I missed, I need to leave now. "He rushed outside to see King's van ready to pick him up. The door opened for him to jump inside, slamming it close as King drove.

"You missed? That's rare," King eyed him through the rearview mirror, seeing the disappointed and panicked expression on Meliodas' face. "I know," he mumbled, his brows furrowing, trying to understand what had just happened.

"Last time this happened, it was when you killed an undercover assassin."

Meliodas looked up in confusion, he's killed many assassins and never missed. Who in the world would make him miss his shot? It baffled him, "really? What's their name?"

"Ban."
