Meliodas refused to but the gun down, despite his arm going numb. He watched King approach him, and Meliodas had never feared anyone as much as he did King. It was embarrassing to be trembling on the ground like a helpless animal, and King loved the view.

"Look at you, someone who always seemed unfazed is trembling on the ground. You scared of a petite boy like me?"King laughed, then crouched to Meliodas' level, "want to know why Elizabeth was such an important target?"

Meliodas didn't speak, he was so afraid to. King continued anyway, "As you learned, her father was in the organization, I was around fifteen when I was given the task to murder him. Baltra Liones knew too much, and there were speculations that he was going to leak information. So, I did the job. I knew about Elizabeth too, she was supposed to be on our side until she figured out what I did,"

Fifteen. "I honestly could have just killed her father in a private place, but I decided to kill him in their living room, where I knew Elizabeth would be. Why? To spite her killing intent. I wanted her to be as fucked up as everyone else in our organization, but my plans were foiled when she figured out I did it and decided to join the only organization that was against us. If she took over ARC, she'd be able to command everyone at her will, she knew a lot about our organization and none of the higher-ups listened to her before, so she did her best to go up the ranks until she got there. Sadly, she's been murdered before she even had the chance to,"

King paused, watching Meliodas' face contort into confusion, he laughed, "surprised? Did you notice her fighting style? She had the basics from our training regime, she fought like Zeldris. They do have the same specialty." This was where it all went full circle for Meliodas, how he should have done more background checks, how he should have given a damn when he didn't.

"This might enrage you," King paused, before smirking, noticing that Meliodas'grip on the gun loosened at the mention of his brother, "Zeldris' death wasn't that much of a mystery. We knew he'd be up against Elizabeth, it was a test of who was strongest that fateful day. Elizabeth seemed to be the victor. We didn't tell you yet because we needed to use your anger for his killer someday, and well, it came. Your brother's avenged now. "

"You used me?" Meliodas growled at King, his grip tightening on the gun again, his arm wanting to give up, he was tired from Elizabeth's constant kicking from earlier. "Haven't we always?" King rose his brow, "we've been using you from the start, weren't you aware?"

"I was, but not like that!" Meliodas screamed with tears in his eyes, his voice echoing through the silent cemetery. King chuckled at the sighed of tears, "waterworks, what a sight I have tonight. Meliodas, I hope you're aware now that  I turn people into what they are in the organization. I light the fire and guide them, much like what I did to you and Ban,"

Meliodas flinched at the mention of Ban, "why can't I remember who he is? What did you do to him?" King crossed his arms and gave him an unimpressed look, "I did nothing to him. I only trained him when he was scouted. It really was a mission given to you, and he really did betray us. I didn't do the dirty work this time, though," he cocked his brow at Meliodas, "that's right, I made you do it."

The blond gripped on his gun with two hands now, shaking uncontrollably, not knowing how to respond to the given information. "You really did fall from the building, it was a failed murder attempt though, I was gonna report it as suicide," King shrugged, making Meliodas look at him in the eyes, "you what?"

"I pushed you, Meliodas. I was there."

Meliodas froze, and King continued to fill his brain with the truth, "we had speculations that you might go out of control after killing your only best friend, but when you woke up from the hospital, you didn't remember anything. I gave you a pass to live at that time."

King then put his hand on Meliodas' hands, gripping on the gun as well, "if you don't remember, I gave you this gun too. Let me just remind you that aiming this thing at me won't faze me, I taught you everything you know. I'm the one who trained you until you got to where you are now. I could avoid every bullet you shoot at me, it's useless."

"Just who the hell are you?"

"I'm King the executioner, and Meliodas, I'm afraid you're next."
