Ah, she's gone.
It felt great, but also wrong. But many things were wrong with Meliodas, so he didn't think much of it. He took his gun from the ground and examined it; there were splatters of blood, but that wasn't anything to be worried about, he could just clean it at home.
Now that he thinks of it, he doesn't remember who gave him the gun he'd been using for years, the weapon that he treasured. Thanks to Elizabeth, he was forced into thinking about his organization more than he wanted.
Where'd he get the gun? Who was King? Was everything she said true? What was King capable of?
I don't hurt anyone within the SDS unless they betray us.
Why didn't he mention that he was the executioner?
He was too caught up in his thoughts that he didn't hear someone's footsteps approaching from behind. The person tapped his shoulder, causing him to jump and taking out his gun to point at —
King.
The brunette quickly backed away, putting his hands up, "it's just me; it's okay." He assured him, but the thing Elizabeth told him ran at the back of his mind. Meliodas slowly put his gun down, staring right at King's eyes, and for some odd reason, as the gun lowered, King's eyes got darker.
The tense feeling from the van was back again.
However, King moved from his spot and walked over to Elizabeth's lifeless body, blood still coming out of her wound. He watched King crouch next to her and frown, "you were such a talented girl. I don't get why you didn't join us instead."
"She said you killed her dad," Meliodas spoke up. He lowered the gun, but his grip on it was tight. King snapped his neck towards Meliodas with the same look that sent chills down his spine, "indeed I did."
"Did he do anything against the organization?" He continued to ask, hoping that he was asking the right questions; he didn't have the energy to run from King if everything went south. King hummed, "a few, but mostly it was just for fun."
Meliodas' blood ran cold, "fun?" he rose the gun to point at King again, "last time you said you only killed if they betrayed us, not for fucking fun." King started laughing, "and you believed me? Meliodas, you're given missions to kill people, isn't that fun for you too?"
The two of them were silent for a while before King stood up, "put the gun down." He ordered, his voice made Meliodas tremble. He may have been skilled at what he did, but the idea of not knowing what King was capable of and how he was slightly immobilized made him fear for his life.
"Put the gun down, and let's have a chat."
