I was smiling widely through the entire car ride, excited about seeing my mom again and still giddy from the effect of Keith's first ever smile! To me, that is. My inner Goddess is still swooning as of this moment, nabulag sa ngiti ni Keith. Lol.

I didn't even wait for him to open my side of the door, binuksan ko iyon pagkatigil pa lamang ng sasakyan. Agad naman siyang sumunod sakin, bitbit ko pa rin ang bouquet of roses na bigay niya kanina, not wanting to let it go. I'll probably put it in a glass box or something to preserve it. Hell, ito ang pinakauna niyang gift sa akin and it was so unexpected.

Nagniningning ang mga matang sinalubong ko ang katiwala ng bahay ni mama, ni hindi man lang nabawasan ng kahit konti ang ngiting nakapaskil sa aking labi. I'm just that happy to see her again.

"Manong! Kamusta na po?" Natutuwa kong bati sa katiwala naming si Kuya Andres. Nagtatrabaho siya bilang hardinero for almost 30 years, at isa sa pinakamatagal na trabahador sa pamilyang Alonzo. 

"Ikaw po pala yan ma'am!" gulat na usal ni kuya Andres pagkakita sa akin, he removed his hat and bowed slightly as a sign of respect, " Ayos lang naman po ako, nakakaraos pa din. Hehehe. Kamusta na po kayo? Ang tagal niyo na pong di nakakadalaw dito ah," sabi pa nito sa magiliw na boses.

I smiled at him warmly, "Oo nga po eh," tapos ay napalingon sa direksiyon ng bahay, "si mama po?" I inquired. My mom sometimes go on a stroll around the neighborhood kaya tinanong ko, to know if umalis ito.

"Nasa loob po ma'am, pasok po kayo!" he exclaimed.

"Thanks manong," I uttered with respect at saka hinila si Keith papasok. Ngayon ko lang naalala na kasama ko pala siya and I got embarrassed dahil hindi ko man lamang ito napakilala kanina. 

Kinakabahan din ako sa magiging reaksiyon ni mama, she doesn't know that I'm visiting, much less that I am with a man. I don't know how she'll react after seeing him. 

Probably, baka lalo lang akong i-pressure to give her grand babies na lagi nitong isinisingit whenever we had a talk. I just hope na maging smooth ang lahat.

Oh my God, I am visiting my mom with Keith. Another progress!

Never thought that this would happen. Not in a million years! Only in my wildest dreams, but here we are.

"Wynter, anak?" tawag ng isang boses sa may sala at alam ko kaagad na si mama iyon. Not long after, a woman in her mid fifties strolled in and with a personal nurse aiding her at her side. 

Agad akong napangiti pagkakita ko sa kanya at agad siyang nilapitan to give her a tight hug showing her how much I had missed her. My mom hugged me back with equal fervor at kumalas ako kaagad to look at her.

She looked fine to me, but I know better. May sakit ito that's why I hired a personal nurse to watch her well-being while I am away, to make sure that her lifestyle will remain healthy. My mom has this timeless beauty like everyone else in the family, ang pamilya Alonzo ay from Spanish Descent kaya hindi maka-katwa ang obvious bloodline nito. She ages gracefully and I am sure, kung buhay lang ang totoo kong ina, she'll be just like her. An image of sophisticated grace.

"How are you? Are you listening to your nurse?" Pabiro kong tanong sa kanya.

"Oh shush! I'm okay, ikaw? Magkakaapo na ba ako?" sagot nito na nagpawindang sakin. My mother, seriously. "Mom!" kastigo ko dito at nahihiyang tinapunan ng tingin si Keith na pinapanuod kami.
