"SO, ANONG BALITA?" agad kong tanong kay Althea matapos umalis ang waiter upang ihanda ang order namin. Althea invited me for lunch in Althea's, which is obviously her very own restaurant na ipinundar niya with her own money.

She gave me an impish smile before raising her right hand.
"We're getting married!!" She whisper yelled. And with a bright smile, showed me her engagement ring.

I was so stunned to speak up, the diamond ring glittered in the light...
"Oh my God, I'm so happy for you Thea..." Saka siya niyakap. "Kelan ka niya tinanong?" I inquired.

"Yesterday, after I told him about my pregnancy..." Sagot niya sa malapad na ngiti.

Two days passed since she told me about her pregnancy at ang pagdadalawang isip niya kung sasabihin niya ba kay Michael ang balita o hindi. Well, mukhang may magandang naidulot ang pagtatapat niya...

"You two deserved it, tsaka it's time narin naman for you two to settle down. How long were you've been together? 8 years? Whats more to do than to plan your future, right?" I said to her while drinking my piña collada.

Bumalik narin ang waiter na nagtake ng order namin at saka inilapag ang mga pagkain. I smiled at him for gratitude na ikinablush niya, oh...

"E-enjoy your meals m-ma'am..." He stuttered before scurrying away.

Napailing na lang ako.
Men...

"Yeah, I was so shocked when he proposed, like oh my gosh! I really did not expect it from him, I thought he's going to break up on me but he actually asked me for marriage!" She exclaimed na parang hindi talaga siya makapaniwala.

"You're underestimating your boyfri-- err, I mean fiancée Thea... Michael really loves you, rather he's head-over-heels  on you darling..." I acquiesced while eating my carbonara.

She sighed dreamily and spoke, "I think its me whose really head-over-heels at him Wynter. I love him so much na I think maloloka ako kapag iniwan niya ako. Maloloka talaga ako, period..." Litanya niya habang pinaglalaruan ang pagkain niya gamit ang tinidor.

"Matagal ka ng loka loka Thea, madadagdagan nga lang ngayon..." Biro ko sa kanya. She rolled her eyes and I laugh...

"Ambitch mo!" Sabad niya, "Eh ikaw ba Wynter, kelan ka magbabalak na mag-asawa? Do you have a plan or you want to spend the rest of your life alone?" She asked me na ikinasimangot ko lang.

"Oh please..." I spat sourly at saka tumigil sa pagkain. "I'm still living my life at the moment so, no..."

"You're already 28 Wynter, konting kembot na lang at magmemenopause ka na. Kailan mo iisipin, kapag kulubot na ang ovary mo?" She said.

Inirapan ko siya at saka sumagot, "You're like Mommy Lydia, seriously? What's with my age ba at pinagduduldulan niyo sa mukha ko ang pag-aasawa? I am going to marry the man who'll make me fvcking scream and tremble with desire. I want a man who can protect me. I want a bad man..."

Umiling iling siya at saka nagsalita, "Oh well, Michael can make me fvcking scream and tremble with desire, he can also protect me. But a man whose bad? Oh Em, ikaw ata tong naloloka sating dalwa Wynter..."
