Chapter Fifteen

-(y/n)'s P.O.V-

I awoke to see that I was in a jail cell, with chains keeping me near the wall.

... Where am I?

"Oh, so you're finally awake! Good!" I heard a familiar voice say.

... A familiar female's voice say...

No way! It can't be...

"Clairissa!?" I asked in shock.

I looked up to see that my assumptions were correct.

... My best friend... Was the one speaking to me right now...

"The one and only! Glad to see that you remembered me after all this time. I was honestly starting to get worried that you would have forgotten about me." Clairissa said.

"Where am I? Why'd you bring me here? And where's Sans?" I questioned more out of confusion than hatred.

... For I don't know for sure that Clairissa is the bad guy here...

"You are in my prison. I brought you here because I needed you to accomplish a task on my to-do list." Clairissa explained.

Wow. I didn't actually expect her to answer all of my questions.

"What task are you talking about?" I questioned.

"Good question. It's quite simple really. I need you as bait for your mother."

... What...?

"You look so confused. Shall I explain it for you? Well, you don't get a choice in the mater! Listen up, because this story will make your world come crashing down!" Clairissa said with a wicked smile.

... I'm so lost...

"Once I was a poor, low-status girl, with my mother, who was already widowed early on in life. We had nothing. And then, Mother found hope. A man so rich and powerful, we just had to take the opportunity. But he was already married. So, we hatched a plan. I'd befriend the shy, lonely daughter, who had no friends, and Mother would work on slowly whittling her way into the man's life. It worked like a charm, and soon a divorce was initiated. We had all that we wanted. Money. Power. A father figure. It was perfect. Until the monsters came back. Then, Father began to lose power, and so I knew that to keep our successful life, I'd have to destroy all monster kind, or at least make humans fear them. And luckily for me, Sans did the hard work for me – getting Michael arrested... Killing those gang members... And soon... You." Clairissa explained, sounding a bit too happy.

... I can't believe this...

... The reason my father left us...

... All my suffering...

... It was all because of Clairissa?!

... She was never my friend...?!

... And now... She plans to use Sans to get rid of monsters?!

"But how does my mom come into play here?"

"Simple. Sans will kill both of you. With a broken heart, your father –oops- my father will issue an order to kill all monster kind, and display them as 'dangerous' and 'evil'. No monster will survive his wrath!" Clairissa wickedly declared.

"If anyone's the monster... It's you!"

"Now, now. Let's not be like that. You'll still get to see Sans again. I did promise that to you, didn't I? Can you really get mad at me for not filling in all the details? Just relax. Death will soon come."

Clairissa then stood up, and began to walk away.
