Carmen's POV***

I nod slowly to Ellie. It was a little overwhelming to think about. Hell, the whole situation was. What were the chances of there being another pack of seven wolves, who look exactly like Aaron's family? The only thing I'm confused and scared about is how they were able to stay the same size from all those years ago. I bite my lip turning to stare out the window nearest me. Another scary question to consider is why they suddenly reappeared in our lives so suddenly; and especially at the same time, the Black Vertigo started threatening me.

I don't know how to feel. For some reason, I feel like the guys are still trustworthy, but I can't help having this little sliver of doubt. I want to ask them about it, but if I'm wrong, I'm going to feel bad for asking. I turn away looking closely at everyone's expressions. Ellie's sitting rigidly against the wall on her side of the room. Sitting next to her is Jake and he seems oblivious to her stature.

She starts tapping her fingers rapidly against her leg thinking deeply. I glance around the room again, taking in all the horrified expressions. Aaron and his gang were shocked, some gripping tightly to the pictures that I began thinking they were at the point of ripping. "Terrifying isn't it?" I comment bitterly.

Heart looks over at me from her corner, nodding. "It is Carmen, but I'm sure everything is going to be fine. I have to get back to the hospital now, and I fully expect you to get all your homework done before Monday. Bye, everyone." She walks out of the room leaving us to ourselves.

Everyone looks to me. "Carmen, it's all over now. The past is the past, we just need to figure out who in this school is leaving all these threats." Khalene brings me the third picture before sitting down next to me.

"How come you guys haven't been able to figure it out yet?" I ask finally letting out my accusation. "The wolves I mean..." Aaron and his family snap their heads in my direction surprised.

"Carmen...not here," Lucas warns softly. I look over at them noticing Aaron's eyes are starting to flicker yellow.

Frightened, I close my mouth looking back out the window. "Oh my god, you're right." I look up to Cody who's now standing in front of my bed facing the brothers. "There are only so many wolf packs that have the same coats as you. My question is, why haven't you said anything to Carmen when you got here?"

Shawn stands up curling his hands into tight fists cutting in before Aaron could speak, "What are you hiding?"

Aaron runs a hand through his hair messing it up, "Okay, okay, so we have some explaining to do." He says it so casually, it brings butterflies to my stomach; and not the good kind either.

"Clearly," Ellie says sarcastically. She rolls her eyes when Simon turns glaring at her. Aaron walks forward being trailed by his siblings. He comes to stand by my bed, so I can see him clearly.

"Carmen, we didn't want to tell you this because we didn't think you were ready yet; and we wanted to deal with this before you found out." Lucas lets out a dry laugh before continuing, "Obviously whoever left the threats messed that up for us. You see, what you think you know is a lie."

I crinkle my eyebrows about to say something but am cut off by Tyler. "Carmen, let us finish, please. You can ask questions later." He dismisses me with a wave of his hand making me angry, but I don't say a word.

"I'm just going to tell you the truth, so bear with us okay?" I nod listening closer to Aaron. He takes a deep breath before rushing everything out, "Carmen, we aren't exactly from this Earth. We're from a parallel dimension. I know believe me I know how this sounds to you, but where we're from, you are royalty. Not just royalty, but you are the King and Queen's only child, making you the true heir to one of the four kingdoms. Your real mother gave birth to you during a very bad time in the kingdom. At that specific time, the black Vertigo was trying to overthrow each kingdom in order to come here to earth."
