chapter six !

Mark put his black shoes on, grabbed his name tag, phone and jacket before walking out of his bedroom. Due to meeting up with his friends, he had to go to work early so he asked Jackson if they could drop by his house to change.

"You ready?" Jackson asked, who was standing just outside his room.

"Yeah, but is my hair okay?" Mark said, closing the bedroom door.

Jackson looked over and observed Mark who was trying his best to fix his hair. He grabbed Mark's hands and looked at him in the eyes. "You're beautiful either way, so stop it. It's adorable." He said.

"And you need to stop with the love words. They're kinda cheesy." Mark tells him.

"Only for my precious." Jackson said with a smile, bringing his arm around Mark's waist and pulled him closer.

Mark doesn't do anything as Jackson kissed him. His response was quite stiff, as if he was an unskilled kisser. Why was he acting so weird today? What's with all these thoughts that keep wandering on his mind?

My god, these questions...

After a while, Jackson pulled away. He doesn't sense anything wrong as he has a smile on his face. For some reason, Mark felt bad. Bad that he doesn't know shit that can make him connect the dots. He looked down at his feet as he didn't want Jackson to see the obvious frown on his face and suddenly ask what was wrong,

"Come on, let's go." Mark said. "Or else my friends will terrorize me."

"What the...?" Baekhyun frowned at the sight of Mark and Jackson walking inside the store. He looked down at his watch. "Now, what are you doing here 20 minutes early? You're so committed to Tommy now?"

Mark rolled his eyes at Baekhyun's teasing. He only marched to the back of the store to put his stuff away. Baekhyun looked back at Jackson, silently asking what was up with him. Jackson only shrugged.

Two minutes later, Mark comes back out. "Youngjae called, Kyungsoo needs help finding an outfit for a special occasion." Mark told Baekhyun.

"They're coming?"

"Yeah, so, if they arrive early, just help him out. I'll be right back." Mark said as he headed to the exit with Jackson.

"Wait, what? You didn't clock in yet? Where are you going?" Baekhyun called.

"Going to get something to drink, you want anything?"

"Iced Americano would be nice," Baekhyun sighed. "Just hurry up before it gets packed."

"Damn, well, that's just terrible." Jongin commented after Chanyeol had finished telling them about Sehun. The friends were currently at an athletics department store as Jinyoung and Yixing were busy looking at shoes, planning to buy a new pair.

"Oh, yeah! I remember that time they went out." Yugyeom said. "But how come you know what was going on on the inside?"

"Yixing and I were friends with Sehun at some point." Chanyeol explained. "I don't know what happened to Sehun but I'm not surprised this could be the reason why he is Jackson's friend."
