Mark didn't care about being nice and gentle. As soon as Jaebeom left the three, he told Baekhyun that he'll see him tomorrow at school. The elder was surprised by his tone, but nodded and that was good enough for him that Mark dragged Jackson away. Jackson started asking questions but Mark was not answering as he knew his behavior would cause a stir in public. So the only thing he told him is to meet him at his house and then parted ways in the parking lot.

In the car ride, Mark tried to calm himself down but the frustration still rose and he grew angrier the more he thought of the situation. And it infuriated him even more as he exasperatedly sipped on the bubble tea that Baekhyun bought him, which he initially thought would calm him down. He smashed the plastic cup on the cup holder as soon as he was done.

And when the two finally got inside Mark's house, all hell broke loose.

Jackson was shocked by his outburst, shouting as if there was practically nobody in the house, even though that was not the case. He felt like he was treated unfairly so he defended himself and their words collided. They just let out what they felt without hearing one another and Mark swore that the servants in the house could hear everything.

This led Mark to stop as he didn't want any gossip to emerge in the household, which would eventually spread to his family members. No, especially not after he brushed off his parents' concerns.

Jackson inhaled deeply before he could continue. "I swear that I said it by accident." his voice was soft and low. Mark still looked at him with a frown. "That... just thinking about what that guy has been doing to you all this time just made me angry so I just-- in some way wanted him to back off for good."

Mark understood and acknowledged his good intentions but he knew that still didn't make the situation any less worse. "I get that but..." he began. "it just frustrates me that it has now come this far."

"Well, that's... kinda your fault." Jackson said and Mark had an offended look.

"Me?!"

"You should've told me sooner." Jackson continued. "If you did, I would have dealt with it much differently, but no. I had to find out in the middle of it. I was heated at the moment and I just said it."

Mark was silent for a moment, his expression softening. Maybe Jackson was right in this situation. Maybe he should have actually taken in Baekhyun's advice and told him. Maybe this wouldn't happen if Jackson was given time to think how to handle it and everything would have turned for the better. But crap. Is it bad that he didn't want to lose in this argument?

"Why does it sound like victim blaming?" Mark then said.

"Oh, don't start." Jackson groaned.

"I'm not starting anything."

"If I was 'victim blaming,' I would have said that you were provoking that fucker even though you did absolutely nothing." Jackson retaliated.

"Yet, you did with Jaebeom." Mark fired back.

"Oh, my God!"

"Did you really think I'll forget it easily?"

"I fucking apologized, what more do you want?!"
