Chapter 4: A Split

As much as I tried not to believe it, I was in the middle of a battle. I was

powerless, only being able to witness the fight taking place in front of me. I

wish I could help with something, but I would just be in their way.

Metal clashed with metal. The silver sword and the steel fans collided. The

force of the impact was great enough to make the fan-wielder stagger

back. The young woman was strong. The woman didn't waste any time and

followed up with another slash from her sword. Sainal managed to parry the

strike at the last minute with his fan. Another slash followed, and another,

and another, each faster than the last. Finally, Sainal jumped back. The

She dashed forwards, only to be greeted by another gust of wind. She

was forced to go into a defensive stance. Sainal sent another gust but she

evaded it. Another gust headed towards her but she dodged it as well. She

was in range of Sainal now and raised her sword above her head. Suddenly,

she was thrown back by another gale of wind. It hit her chest directly. She

landed on her back.

"Don't underestimate me either! I don't really need this to control the

winds!" Sainal waved his fan in a circular motion. Instantly, a gust of wind
